When you said, "keeps the area at a comfortable temperature". I was thinking 80-85 degrees not 95! Dont get me wrong that's not unbearably hot, but I wouldn't exactly call that comfortable.
Those are basically 10th-level spell scrolls, which I sincerely hope means that maximum tier of magic and possibly epic-level content is coming eventually
In regards to the mythallar’s; the mighty glue stick (AJ Packet), MrRhexx, and Jorphdan (I think that’s how it’s spelled, the ph is silent) have all done videos on em. Essentially they’re special crystals that hold specifically concentration spells for you. For example you can cast wall of fire, tag the Mythallar, & the Mythallar will hold the concentration for you so that way you can cast banishment or something. The more powerful the Mythallar, the more spells and higher leveled spells the Mythallar can concentrate on.
A lot of worldbuilding potent magic items in this. Knowing the Mythallar, the comet scroll, thermal orb, psi crystal, etc. Really awesome to get some official text on concepts I include in my world
Thermal Cube: A temperature of 95 degrees Fahrenheit (35 degrees Celsius) is very hot. In an instant, an icy wasteland turns into the middle of summer. This is a brilliant item on the ship. You place on the bow in the water and it will melt the ice in front of the ship :P
Shield Guardian Amulet is made into an official rare magic item on page 149 of Rime of the Frostmaiden with new rules for reactivating shield guardians. Hopefully that’s helpful. Oh also in Rime of the Frostmaiden page 264 is the Orc Stone, it’s pretty special summoning an orc war chief. Definitely worth a look. I already built a whole encounter around it for my next game because it’s sure to be a hit with the players. Hey if you are reading this I really appreciate your videos. Always comes out before anyone else. I look forward to the new Tasha videos and as always top ten Tuesday. Thank you.
It's a call out on the hook to Regis the halfling from the book the halfling's gem, as well as several other books in the icelandale series. I was personally wondering about his scrimshaws that were very intricate that actually gave bonuses.
I hope there's a lot of non-super high rarity items, because those are the one I pretty much never get to use. Well... atleast we got a few common ones, there's always way too many high rarity ones. Some of these really sound like stuff you'd normally require attunement, but not in this case. Making a survival themed campaign and having items that magically spawn food clashes in my mind a lot. I really like the idea of item scaling with your stat and hope to see more of them in the future.

I had a homebrew item similar to the Cauldron of Plenty in a campaign I ran. Make no mistake, this thing is a weapon of WAR. Feeding armies, as you suggested, or providing rations to hold out during a siege, is really powerful. 360 meals/day isn't enough to support a town or an army of any substantial size, but the amount of weight in food that is saves when it comes to that army's travel is HUGE! Correct me if I've missed something but it seems like the Hook of Fisher's Delight is a bit, well... shite? An hour to catch something that lasts 24 hours, but you only have 16.6% of even getting a fish with a d6 roll (there's nothing in the text to suggest that you can leave it over night to continually try to collect fish so I'm assuming you'll get 1-2 hours per day to try this). Then, of the options, only 11-14 and 19-20 produce a frequently useful effect, which is about 30%. So (and I'm a bit shit at maths so I could be wrong) each fish has just under a 5% chance to be actually useful? Seems like most other rare objects would be more useful than this.

Can you go explain a little what your issues are? (Genuinely curios not trying to be rude) I thought these items seemed really cool and different and the setting seemed really interesting and new, so I’m a bit curious what has you so disappointed?
@@mckinneym.2743 the lack of ice based items & spells that perkins mentioned in a video months back. Plus, i despise magic items that bypass survival elements ... IN a survival based module. “Get it ‘immersion’”
Me: okay I’m disliking this video
“I would have liked a one fish, two fish, red fish, blue fish joke here”
Me: okay then I won’t dislike this video
I love your vids, but im frankly disappointed in the items of this book. Like, i get that its a module book not a source book, but im just, kinda disappointed in this book.
The book also reads like they took curse of strahd, merged it with tomb of annihilation & then slapped it in the arctic & called it a day.
Kinda defeats half the game. So theres no reason to forage for food (once more making rangers useless) once you get an item like the plentiful cauldron or w/e.
Not to mention items just being reprinted from older books. Just seems lazy. Paid $42 for recycled campaign & items.
Green Hawk I guess I can see your point.
I feel so bad that I was never subscribed. I feel so horrible now.
