I made sure to also save all the stranger missions for Jack (besides the strange man, obviously.)
Tbh, it could be actual canon, because: 1. John needed to escape the law after killing Ross. 2. Mexico just seems like a perfect location to gain healing after all the grief he went to, losing his dad and mom, having everyone he had ever known and loved dying or abandoning him.

i love escalera and punta orgullo in general. the combination of the white sand. plus the palm trees and cactus. makes such a beautiful scenery. and i also love riding around the coast of the river. in the area of the mexico safehouse.
this is Escalera its not much but for the people that live and work here it is home.... some small shops,a stable,a church,a cantina, a cafe,a gunsmith & blacksmith, they have a town police but they don't do much anymore because there isn't much crime anymore,maybe an occasional litterbug or drunk trying to get home,but they still do what they can.... surrounded by desert on one side and only minimal life out there in the hot dry lands and on the other side a few miles away the river that runs through separating them from a free land,but they love it here why I don't know why,but as I said its home and that's why.... up on the hill behind the village is a big house where the mayor lives he lives very good as you can see,but he is not a mean person he was like this once he still makes sure life is good for everyone here, and if someone is homeless he let's them stay and helps them out not as servants but as friends.... well, it's getting late and all are closing down and are turning in for the night,see you tomorrow,good night and God Bless.
