I love how the twin sister was so supportive of her choice. As a twin her sister wanted to be so different from her to go for a totally specific different style, but Niki not only didn't chastise her for picking a similar style, but encouraged her to pick the one they both agreed looked best on her even if it was similar. As a sister, that's my way of saying, "I know what you're trying to do, but you can stop looking now. I don't care if you may look like having the same dress as me, it's not a contest even if we joke about it. Trust your instincts, this is the one"

The twins’ dresses are only similar in general silhouette. The necklines are completely different, and the colors are completely different.

Both of the twin's dresses were stunning, in their own way though.
the waistline is also a bit higher than her twin's dress, hers is closer to the natural waist line and her twin's closer to the hip.

To be fair, a wedding's purest roots don't come from love. They come from families following rituals and displaying as much wealth as possible There's a reason the families used to insist more often to pay for the wedding. They were the reason for the marriage, as in the marriages were usually arranged. The couple often didn't have a say in it. Love marriages were rare. The idea of marrying for love is new in human history.
They didn't even let her try more mermaid style dresses. It's like they only had that one satin dress in the entire shop
Wouldn't have suited. She's a classic. Mermaids are for dramatics. Any classic is going to look like they're wearing their nightie in slinky satin.
@@Songbirdstress mermaids aren't just satin material. The bride said she wanted mermaid, not satin and the consultants didn't put her in her choice of dress.
I was thinking the same, she also mentioned sleeves and they didn't go in that direction at all. Obviously the first dress was lovely but I think immediately putting her in the one style she asked NOT to have was a strange choice...just try a few different fishtails first.
They probably did, they just didn’t show them. She had the long sleeved dress in the room and they didn’t shew that but I bet you she tried it on.
@@killphaser25 Mermaid wouldn't suit her body type. It's a structure nota material. In fact pretty hard to do in satin. Satin on a classic looks like a nightie (great for the wedding night). Loose satin is for naturals. Why did you want her to try dresses that won't suit her? The problem for classics is they look Ok in any thing, so it's difficult to choose.
I'm not surprised that the twin sisters look best in the same silhouette. As for the dresses, they're very different from each other despite both being ballgowns.
Idk why they didn't just put her in the style of dress she wanted in the first place. With her budget, too, there'd be a plethora of dresses for her to try on.

So her sister got married two and a half to three years ago (two according to her but three according to the twin) and two and a half years ago she got together with someone she'd already known for three and a half years and was pregnant six months later. That definitely doesn't sound like she did it out of jealousy and competition...

I agree. So scripted for drama. Bride asked for not a ball gown, David insisted she try a ballgown first and then criticized her for looking at and choosing a ballgown. The 2nd dress was such a poor choice by David.
They definitely should have tried a few other gowns. Surely they have better options.

As well as the neckline, material, and colour being different, her sister's dress has a much lower waist. Considering the grand theme, I don't think anyone would accuse them of being the same!

Not all ballgown are the same but i understand that she wants to be different than her sister but just because you want to be different dos'nt mean you should completely throe away the silloutte specially if you think that's what you love and that's what suits you you could see different fabrics and necklines and designs and stuff. She was absolutely gorgeous in the ballgown .

The ballgown she tried on & her sisters ballgown looked VERY different, the only thing they had in common was the ballgown shape, that’s it.

I get annoyed when the bride asks for one thing and they make her try on something she said she didn’t want first. Especially when it’s the first time trying on, there’s a huge chance you’re going to love that feeling you get and it can change how you thought you wanted to look. Give the bride what she wants and adjust from there. It would’ve been nice for her to have a couple dresses in what she asked for before the ball gown because everything after wasn’t going to work.
But she looked beautiful and the sister was so supportive.

Knowing this store I wouldn’t be surprised if they did do this on purpose. If the bride shows strong interest in first dress they give her a really awful second dress to make her go back to first.

I have two sisters and my mother has her wedding this year in summer. We went together shopping for the dress. We all have the same taste. We all want a mermaid dress for our weddings😂 so I kinda get what the bride in this video is talking about it is always kinda strange when ur sister wants the same as you do but now that I am a little older than i was when i was a teen (and always jealous of my sisters) I think even when we all want the same shape of dress we all kinda have different tastes. Like my mother's dress is beautiful but she tried one dress on she really didn't liked on herself but I loved this one it had sparkle on the top, a low back and the skirt was plain white.
For her and my sisters taste was it not enough sparkle on the skirt but I loved it.
