So glad Harper and her siblings were found at the end of the road. I t is beyond me how anyone can be cruel enough to abandon them. Often, rather than pay a minimal donation to "surrender" animals, folks will resort to this tactic (and Mommer will never get fixed). It is truly heartbreaking.

She looks kind of like a Nova Scotia duck tolling retriever, so much so that I’m kinda surprised that that breed wasn’t in her to some degree

You can tell this dog is super intelligent. She has a different type of spirit to a lot of dogs. There's something extra about this one.

Harper is a very beautiful dog with a huge personality who is fortunate enough to live with the most loving family!!
My Australian shepherd Winkie, (she's the one wearing the shawl in my channel thumbnail), was a very unique girl as well. I have her on video helping me dig up plumbing pipes in a situation where the pipes ran under a super thin walled sewage line. She was able to dig everything up faster than I could with a shovel. I also have her on video "fixing" her fetch machine when the switch got clogged with mud and grass. Those are just two examples of the many "Winkie-isms" that made up who she was. She died just this year on her birthday, March 5th 2021, at the age of twelve. Now there's a huge Winkie shaped hole in my life that I'm not quite sure can ever be filled. Their lives are just way too short. ....just way too short.
The picture of her in your profile pic is so adorable❤️❤️❤️ I’m so sorry you lost her recently, my family dog died in 2014, got him when I was 12 and he died when I was 26. I felt like a grew up with him since he lived to be 15. Never knew losing a pet was as heartbreaking as losing any family member until then. I went to the pound 4 or 5 months after he passed an adopted a dog that had been found wondering the road by himself. Having him has helped tremendously, and he is no way a replacement for our previous dog, just another baby to love.
@@jessica_jam4386 I definitely feel you there. Years ago, a friend of mine was in a similar situation as the one you described. She had an old black lab. I even remember the day she had to have him euthanized, (There's just no nice way to put that word😬). She got him as a puppy when she was 16, and she was 32 on that day. I was working security for her neighborhood and often brought my Australian shepherd with me to work, (the mother of the one the died recently). She pulled up to the gate in tears while it was pouring rain, just to tell me about having to put her fur baby down, and that she envied me for still having Abbie. I almost felt guilty for having Abbie with me that day. I've gone through several heartbreaks like that over the years, and I have a few more in my future I'm afraid. I'm on the third generation of the same bloodline of Aussies that I started back in 2002. I caught all but the first in my hands when they were born. Every time I am there for their birth or when I take a dog into my care, I kind of say a sort of mantra that goes something like, "I was here when you came into this world, and I promise to be here when it is your time to leave". So far I have not broken that promise. If I had nothing else to brag about in my life, that's definitely something I am very proud of. Wow, this reply ended up being much longer than I intended. So sorry for yr enormous loss. It is still very new if u only lost her this year. It will lessen over time, but another one will never take her place, nor should it. It will be a completely different doggy, but might help u through this horrible time. Just don't expect it to do the same things b cos it won't. Will bring u lots of love and happiness again though.
@@jeannettewilliams8095 I still have two of Winkie's daughters. They are the third generation of Aussies from a line I started in 2002. Winkie was something extraordinary in a way that I lack the language to explain in a way that could truly do her justice. The girls, Gigi, (aka G-Wiggly), and Babs, (which is short for, "Baby Abbie", (because she looks and acts so much like her grandmother, Abbie, (the original that started this bloodline back in 2002) ). Everyone is equally loved, and they all have their preferred places around me when I lay down or recline in my chair. The spot right next to me on top of my left arm, that was always Winkie's, stays vacant. Everyone used to kind of compete for that spot, but oddly they don't now, at least not at the moment. They don't seem to miss her, yet they won't occupy her spot. I'd like to think it's some unspoken way of showing respect, but who knows what the real reason is. There's definitely a noticeable Winkie-shaped hole in my heart and in my life that I don't think can ever truly be filled by anyone else. ...I'm not sure if I would want to "fill" that space even if I could. I was very fortunate to have recorded a lot of video and took lots of pictures of fun times with her and the rest of my pack. I have made sure to make triple redundant backups so that it will be difficult to lose that footage. I may upload some of that footage to this channel along with my night vision footage of things flying around in the upper atmosphere late at night. ...Not the original plan for this channel, but it seems like possibly a fitting thing to do. ...Sheesh, I got carried away again with the comments. I promise I didn't mean to write a novel. It just kind of turned out that way. Junk because dogs are filthy, noisy, annoying and high maintenance. That is not pleasant to most people. Yes, children are like that too, but children grow up

I had a dog named Baby. When we had balloons, he would grab one by the knot and carry it around real gentle, then lay it in front of him as if it were his baby. He'd take it everywhere, lol. It was the sweetest damned thing. Every once in a while, I would blow up a balloon for him. He was so cute.

My dogs is the light in our house. I adopted him right before pandemic and I don't know what would we do without him. He's bringing joy and laughter to all of us. Because of earthquake we're having bad times again and I don't what I would do without him by ourside. He made us grow and become better persons and now my whole apartment is taking care of strays cats because of him because stray cats loves him and follows him lol. He spread joy and love for animals to whole apartment.

Dogs do smile. I run a delivery route and there is a chocolate lab on my route she still has family but the one she love the most passed away about a year and a half ago and it wasn't until the first thunderstorm that I realized how much she missed her she looks so sad and scared and alone I don't miss a day now where I don't scratch her belly and scratch her back and tell her I love her and make her smile and yes I've always given him treats that's why they come to me in a group but her in particular warms my soul when I make her smile. And here's a challenge for anybody that happens to read this comment make anyone anything if you want to call it a thing smile and remember how that makes you feel then do it again till you smile I love you all have a great day hell have a great life
