The green in the kitchen really warms it up. It makes it look more like a family kitchen and less institutional. I think the dark columns will look fabulous with it! You just can’t ever fault Michael’s color sense!!
I love the green shade - definitely softens the feel of the chateau kitchen! So agree with Michael on his color choices…his art spirit is showing yet again!
I've just moved house & that meant 2 weeks without Internet = no Pethericks! Misery I tell you! Now I'm caught back up from an all day binge, life is back to normal. Really love this channel & these lovely chaps on it.
Loved it when Yanis said ‘come on Mick.’ Looks like he’s become part of the family! It would be great to see someone interview Yannis. We could all send in our questions we’ve been dying to know.
Michael is a genius! YES!!!!! Amazing color! It totally transforms the kitchen and works well with all the colors and actually feels brighter and more energetic. So amazing!
Billy. You have to hold on to Yannis he is a super talented man. He’ll is a real asset to you. The green for the chateau kitchen is awesome Michael, great choice. Loving you dipping in and out of both properties. Happy birthday to your Dad too. Hope he enjoys his party.
The juxtaposition of you guys saying Janis is being careful with the panels and then the video transition to him beating the everliving crap out of one of them had me rolling laughing. Hahaha! 5:50 into 6:09 We know he is being careful where he can but that was funny.
Michael the colour master has done it again! The green is marvelous with the tile. It removes the dirty old damaged look of the tile completely. Go green👍👍👍
Beautiful old wooden doors. Happy 80th Birthday to your dad 🎉🎊🎂🥳. Man they make it look so easy removing material..the green looks great for the kitchen. Michael you know your colors for decor…awesome job guys!
Happy Birthday, Mick! You are the epitome of health, longevity and hard work! You’re an inspiration to us all! Rick, keep that great attitude and infectious smile going! Yanis should be nicknamed “the Tornado” he is full of energy!! Michael, your artistic eye and vision is such an asset!! Love that green! Sometimes dark colors can have an opposite effect!🎉
The green is beautiful next to the cleaned tiles. Love that your videos are under 15 min. and easy to catch up for the day. Thanks for keeping putting great content out there.
Michael 5:55 should contact the wall paper museum, Musée du Papier Peint, in Rixheim in the Alsace, France. They may be able to identify some of these wall papers and provide some related history on where and when they were made.
Michael is a genius decorator. That green is stunning. It looks fantastic with the cream tiles. The dark grey he test painted that column yesterday probably goes as well. And the burgundy border tile looks fabulous too. The room is well big enough to support such a dark colour. That one’s a winner all around.
Billy,Michael,Mic,Yanis,Rick. Beautiful work with the ceiling demolition and taking apart the old cupboard. The wallpaper finds is a treasure. I love the green paint in the kitchen. Well my darlings until tomorrow. Please, take care and stay safe. Love ya 🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺👍🕊🇺🇸🌞❤️🌹🌈🙏😇
Michael's hit it out of the park on the paint color again. That green is perfect. The thing about light colors is they show every scuff and piece of dirt. That dark green will cover a lot of that and it's just beautiful. Rich and it makes those tiles look brand new. That kitchen is going to be so nice. Hat's off to the wrecking crew. Your Dad working with you all is wonderful. When it's all done, you all will remember all those days of working together and what you created.
It would be better to cover the window in the room where you store the wallpaper samples to protect them from the sun. The colours are so vivid because all those years they were inside a secret room with no light.
Knowing what the château’s basement kitchen looked like before, I can’t tell you how impressed I am at how far it’s come, and how little time it’s taken! Bravo!
Great video and work today! I liked not having filler music today. The sound of shovels scooping rubble and Yannis beating the framework apart was ironically pleasing.
How about a room right next to the lobby or visitor center that recreates the hiding room? Use those boards Yannis liberated, and put recreted wallpaper in it. Put storyboards up that describe the room, where it was, and its likely history.
It was great watching Yannis in demolition mode and the rest of you keepin your distance ! Love Michael's choice of paint colour for the chateau kitchen 😊❤
Billy, your Dad is amazing - climbing the stairs, etc. I turned 80 in January and I can't do stairs at all. You come from great genes. One day we'd like to see Mom, too. AND how are your grandparents doing in their new home?
The green paint definitely accents the white and red tiles. I would suggest leaving the fireplace white to the ceiling to provide a break in color but also to show piece the fireplace. It's looking great, lots of work by all.
Yiannis just comes in “ like a wrecking ball “ !!! A one man demolition team 👍❤️ The green in the kitchen looks fantastic !! Loving watching all the progress ❤
Billy I love original beams in the ceilings , beautiful and shows off the best hidden features of the convent . It completes the restoration work on the ceilings .
Yanis is a one man wrecking crew. I laughed when you're dad and Rick didn't want to be in their with yanis. 😅 The green in the kitchen looks wonderful, great choice, Michael.
Mr. Petherick, I'm sorry I don't know your first name, I hope you have a wonderful birthday celebration for your 80th birthday. Many Happy Returns! Yannis and his magic pry bar to the attack! Michael, I love the green wall paint. It's an inspired color.
The paint color in the kitchen is absolutely perfect. Well done Michael! So glad you gentlemen have the muscle and the energy to move all that rubble. After all that hard work, I hope you all got to enjoy a pint at the end of the day. Cheers! 🍺💖💕
Your projects, while daunting, are turning out absolutely fabulously - such care is exhibited in preserving the history. I am really thrilled to be able to watch them move forward.
I love the green paint in the chateau kitchen! I'm a big fan of green (except for olive green) and I think it was an inspired choice. Well done, Michael!
The green looks fabulous in the kitchen! Have you thought about having a museum section with photos and artifacts that you have found that people visiting would like to see?
Great choice of dark green in the kitchen, Michael! You’re right, the kitchen will be cozy and warm with the paint you already had. Great eye and with your design sense, the kitchen is going to be fabulous!
PLEASE buy that boy a solid scaffold to work from!!! The wear and tear on his body trying to beat something apart while keeping his balance he must feel like he’s been on a ship in a storm doing demo!!!
The green in the kitchen really warms it up. It makes it look more like a family kitchen and less institutional. I think the dark columns will look fabulous with it! You just can’t ever fault Michael’s color sense!!
The copper pots are going to pop against the green they will also reflect light. Great choice Michael 👍🏼
You need a copper coffee maker like the convent ….would look great against the green 😊
Love, love, love the green for the kitchen walls !!! Turns it from an institutional kitchen to a home !!!! Perfect !!
Your Dad is a gem. Wishing him a wonderful birthday with family & friends. His grandsons are so lucky to have two loving grandparents!
I love the green shade - definitely softens the feel of the chateau kitchen! So agree with Michael on his color choices…his art spirit is showing yet again!
Love the green on the wall in kitchen.
That green paint in the kitchen is gorgeous! it really makes the cream 'pop'. It will be lovely.
So in awe of your father!!!! Wishing him the best for his 80th birthday.
ME TOO!!!!!!!
Me, three! I love seeing Mick in the videos!
AND ME! Family is so lucky to have a great guy like himself to inspire y’all!
Love Yannis, he’s a powerhouse but totally understand why dad and Rick stand back when he’s in demolition mode 😂
Amen to that!😂😂❤
Yanis..dont hurt yourself..youve got a whole new career path ahead of you.
The idea of you repurposing the wood and doors from the secret room really excites me! So many ideas!
Maybe for the Tudor cottage on the grounds down the track?
The green is fabulous!
The green is simply beautiful. It is also great against the cream (balance). Won't be too dark.
I've just moved house & that meant 2 weeks without Internet = no Pethericks! Misery I tell you!
Now I'm caught back up from an all day binge, life is back to normal. Really love this channel & these lovely chaps on it.
I agree with Michael, the green is beautiful.
Hope your father has a great Birthday. Yannis is a destruction powerhouse.
Hes a powerhouse full of spunk.
Absolutely love that new colour for the kitchen, it's really helps to tie in all the other colours ❤
Billey, I hope your dad has a great 80th birthday. Man, is he strong for his age!
Age is a state of mind
@@jodieshannon5033 might be a state of mind but the body has other ideas
That green is absolutely gorgeous!! Great pick Michael!!
OMG Michael that green is stunning…
Loved it when Yanis said ‘come on Mick.’ Looks like he’s become part of the family! It would be great to see someone interview Yannis. We could all send in our questions we’ve been dying to know.

This house is in Alsace? This guy isn't that far from where i am 🤣
The top floor still creepy looking. It will be wonderful when is finally open and light shines thru.
I love this style of video without all the music, it makes me feel part of what is going on. The green in the kitchen looks fabulous.
The Convent & Chateau are both labours of love.
Two thumbs up on the Green in the kitchen. It's going to make it even more elegant. Michael has quite the creative eye for interior design.

Your exceptional, wonderful dad LIVES his love of his family by helping in any way possible. He’s a true role model.
Like the new kitchen, creating the library and removing previous structures exposes new spaces, beautiful
Agree. The green is gorgeous
Yannis, a man on a mission.
Destroyer of Dodgy Walls, Floors and Ceilings! 💪

Billy, your Dad is amazing - climbing the stairs, etc. I turned 80 in January and I can't do stairs at all. You come from great genes. One day we'd like to see Mom, too. AND how are your grandparents doing in their new home?
If you watch Michael's channel that he used to do 'Doing It Ouselves', you'll see their mum quite often. She's a lovely lady and mum.
I wonder how old the grandparents are.
The grandparents that just moved are Mrs P parents
The green paint definitely accents the white and red tiles. I would suggest leaving the fireplace white to the ceiling to provide a break in color but also to show piece the fireplace. It's looking great, lots of work by all.
That was my idea. Paint it a colour that’s a mix of the cream and the stone colour. Great minds!
