    This is a really good video. My obsession to control is stopping me from engaging humbly in my passion. And I was looking for counter perspectives.

    I disagree with you on two points. Corrupted people seek out unlimited power. Hitler and Stalin were fully corrupted prior to gaining any power. Power only magnifies an existing pathology, it does not create it. Second, as a Buddhist, I would argue that Buddhism does little to mitigate the predatory nature of people. Japan is nominally a Buddhist country, but the samurai (for centuries) and Imperial Japan of the 1940's were extremely pathological. Sri Lanka and Myanmar have both recently gone through brutal internal wars. China is an excellent example of Buddhism not preventing endless wars. Detachment can be twisted into lack of concern for your enemy.

      It does create it. Sure the foundation was already there. Is why you say it doesn’t create? Because how I understand it he is referencing to power as an expanding force and Calls that procces creation of power.
