I have a Pride scooter that folds down nicely to be put in my car trunk. It also comes apart into 3 pieces and is airline approved. It looks a lot like this scooter too and it runs all day on a single charge.
I am not understanding why they have people demonstrating these products who are fully ambulatory! There is no way I could ever lift any portable scooter in and out of a trunk!
Jackie G I agree. We got a Tozor Elite folding scooter. It is more suited for people with some mobility because it can tilt easily and the seat does not rotate which Makes it difficult for you to sit on without some mobility
@Joe Blow Iam talking about the people who are still walking & standing who need a wheelchair because they can't walk more than a few feet with walker, cane etc and those who can't stand for more than 15 min or less. They can still put their wheelchair in the trunk. I should have clarified that earlier. P.s even if we use the rollator you still tire out stopping an sitting often an alot of time is wasted.
All people riding scooters are able body persons who are lifting, bending and picking up heavy equipment. How can my senior aunt pick up any of these scooters?
I love the little blue folding mobility scooter with two Lithium batteries but where are the hooks for an inside car lift or pickup by a handicap vehicle? Does the scooter have balancing hooks both in the folded position to lift it inside and outside of of a car? What about in sitting position (because most handicapped can't llift more than about 15 or 20 pounds at most and may need special cabs. Was looking for zero turn capability as well, with good back support and one that was light , like that one, which would hopefully go at least 5 km in case someone tries to rob the rider. The most important thing for most handicapped users in general, .though, I think, Is that their wheelchair or scooter be able to fit through small doors like doctor's offices, narrow store aisles, inside their homes or car trunks, and be able to turn sharply inside an elevator. What is the turning degree on the this cute blue folding one and does it go in reverse? Is there a repair service in Canada or do you not ship there? Are parts easily and quickly available?
As an able bodied person married to someone that isn’t, he doesn’t do all the lifting, I DO. My back hurts from lifting his wheelchair, my back screams from handling his Go-Go, so yeah, shut up about able bodied people demonstrating the product, and be glad there is a product out there that doesn’t destroy your loved ones! CRIPES!
Know what you're saying but believe me, he'd love being able to walk strong and healthy better. Nothing sux harder than when the day comes you have to ride to shop a half hour. :'( Then you gain weight coz you can't walk then people think you have to ride the scooter because you're fat, ugh! 🤪 Like arthritis and spinal stenosis is really common, can start in people in their 40s, just one of those wearing out body parts things and can be waay too painful to walk 10 mins. Yep, ya don't need a disease or accident, just cruel unexpected body changes that you'd never expect would happen before you're even elderly. Cruelest turn of fate ever! Sorry, have a lot of pain now, lol, and once in a while let younger people know we'd give anything to walk normal again...but scooters are great when you can't! 🛵❤️
When buying a mobility scooter that uses Lithium Batteries, always ask how much the replacement battery costs. Quite often they can cost 1/3 of the scooter's overall purchase price. In addition, these Lithium Batteries will not last forever, the often go dead in 2 years.
I have had lithium batteries for the Travel Scoot for about 7 years and they are still going strong. Excellent batteries if you take good care of them. Never want anything but lithium ever again! Sure they cost 3 times the price of a regular battery but last 3 or 4 times as long and allow for much lighter scooters. Most women can't even lift the regular type batteries out. Love these newer lighter scooters that fit easily into doctors' offices, normal doorways, elevators, can spin around on a dime, are easier to put into cars, and have plenty of extra storage for a shopping bin under your legs.
I have Parkinson's and I do not always "look" like I have a disability--it depends on my medicine cycle, fatigue, and other factors. My ability to walk well and for distances can change like turning a light switch on or off. Just because someone doesn't look like they have a disability does not mean that they do not have a need for a device such as these. These devices will not be appropriate for all persons with mobility issues, of course. These are not "one size fits all" devices. Few things are...
jeffrey price I have a disability but I don’t look like I do. I have faulty collagen in my body and my joints have the tendency to dislocate very easily out of the blue. I can walk fairly normal until my joints give way and I injure myself with a nasty fall from a dislocation. It’s called Ehlers Danlos Syndrome. I also have weak and painful muscles and nerves with 3 autoimmune diseases and some days I feel alright and others I flare up. But even on the days I feel alright, I can spark a flare up by being on my feet standing or walking for longer than 5 or 10 minutes. So keep that in mind if people appear abled but have handicap parking placards or get out of a wheelchair and walk for a little bit.
I went to a local scooter shop and asked for the easiest scooter to put in my car. They showed me one that comes apart in 3 pieces. The salesman did it in about 2 minutes. Then I asked if I could try talking it apart. He said no I might hurt my self. I told him “then why would I ever buy it if it was that dangerous” Lithium and smaller motors have helped but much of the scooter industry expects you to have a care giver.
I am looking for a folding lightweight off road scooter something that would cope with our local gravel tracks and leafy pathways so bigger wheels than normal must also fold easily for transportation
Freerider Luggie is the world best portable scooter. Light weight Long range Take up to 160kg (350lb) Easy loading onto vehicle as you'd never have to lift the entire scooter.
it has been over a month now and I have not heard from company or had scooter delivered. Only that it is on it's way when I first bought it! Can't seen to get any feed back either. Was I was taken?
Where were you 2yrs ago. I broke my neck Memorial Day Weekend 56 years ago at 14yrs old. I subscribed today. I like the one where the seat goes up. BUT I have to wait 5yrs more until Medicare pays their part. I have 5 scooters now but i can't walk to the back of my mini van anymore, so I have to go with my wife everywhere. These could go in the side door.
If people have bought these and believe they got scammed then why is this still being advertised here on TH-cam and on Facebook, hasn't anyone reported these ad's.. if so I'm wondering why they are still letting them keep advertise them as people are getting ripped off, some of you are saying you ordered them but didn't receive them and I'm not seeing any prices or website itself self to go order one, so I'm a bit confused and if I do find the website I'm not sure if it is really a rip off or not. If it is then it's so wrong for these places to let them to continue to advertise and take advantage of the DISABLED & Elderly. Medicare does not pay for these so there are many people who are so desperately wanting them and believes they are getting a great price so they can live a better life by being able to be somewhat independent for better quality of life. I really hope these are not scams.. it's Soo wrong & shame on TH-cam & Facebook for allowing it.

"this scooter only weighs 53 pounds" so you have to have a back like a crane to lift it in and out of a car,, NOT very disabled friendly. Sorry wont be buying one of them!!
Chris, I have several major broken bones but you can order inside car lifters. (BRUNO, but you need to own at least a minivan for these). They cost about the same as most scooters themselves but do allow people to travel by themselves which is super plus wonderful freedom for most who couldn't do it otherwise.
