I love this and stumbled on your video after seeing the original from 2015. Somehow these trees escaped me and I had never seen one until this weekend at a craft show. My friend bought one for $90 and I thought, I can make this! The supply list is fantastic. Thanks!
You are very welcome! I swear, I watched for the kits for several years. They would sell out and I was always too late. I'm glad you want to try making one. The hardest part for me was finding the wool fabric! I imagine you might be able to use something else but I do love the wool.
Ha ha! Love "craft scene investigation"! It's true! It felt like figuring out what happened after a craft incident. I would have happily purchased a kit if they were available. But I think I learned more doing it this way.
Just came across your video. I guess I’m one of the lucky ones who got a kit before Sarafina stopped carrying them. They can no longer get the kits because the lady who made them had a house fire and I guess can no longer make them. I have the complete instructions if you want a copy. It looks like you were able to figure it out on your own. Great job!
I did not know about the fire. I'm so sorry to hear that. You are double lucky to have purchased a kit then! I love the project and it's so clever. Thank you for offering the instructions. I have to admit that it was fun trying to figure out how to make one. :)
Here it is at least 10 months later and I started the same journey! No kit, need instructions, yada yada yada... Thank you! Thank you! Thank you for doing the legwork and saving me all that time! I don't have any wool yet so I'm attempting to make an off-white tree out of warm and natural - and being the hurry-up crafter that I am - I'm using my silhouette to cut the fabric pieces.
You are welcome! I love that you are using your silhouette to cut the fabric pieces. I'm sure it will be beautiful. I leave my tree out year round because I never, ever get tired of it. :)

Thanks for updating this
It's my pleasure. It's such a lovely project and I would have bought a kit if they still had them. :)
Oh wow, that's brilliant
I agree. Mary's tutorial is one of my favorite wool based trees.
