  • The Art House hosts many different workshops, and one of our favorites is the Wooly Pine Tree. There was so much interest in them that we asked Mary and Jackie to create kits for us to offer, and we filmed a tutorial of how to make them. I have been needle felting like crazy for three months. I am so excited to switch it up a bit AND use some of my Mom's abundant wool fabric supply and make trees. Christmas in July!

    I Love this tree! ♡ I need this tree!
    Sara, imo Fiskars spring action scissors are nice, I have some too...but I'm with Mary on this one. I'll just use my little red handle Tim Holtz /Tonic scissors. These scissors are second to none. I cut so many horrible things (wire, plexiglass, aluminum mini blinds, vinyl, leather, canvas, popsicle sticks) I bought a second pair, convinced I'll destroy mine. They're indestructible & comfortable. I use my Tonic red handle scissors daily, 4 yrs+. (my backup is safe & unopened their package) WELL DONE ladies ☆

      I'm wondering if the Fringe Scissors by Martha Stewart would work. I think other companies also offer fringe scissors, too.

    • @carlafeeoryne3102
      @carlafeeoryne3102 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Martha Stewart fringe scissors are for paper, it does not work on fabric.

    Thanks for the tutorial!!!
    I just got my kit and I must say a few things about it….
    I got plaid and I hate plaid, it is green , but it feels like is a Scottish tree… I really wanted a regular all green wool…
    This is of course from my point of view: THE INSTRUCTIONS… I read them and I got so confused. I thought: Not even a small drawing?! That could help a lot!!!
    I am very lucky I have internet access, but not everyone does…
    These comments are done with the best intentions… Maybe it will help improve the product thus maybe selling more of them!!

    I think I see a bit of a Herringbone texture in the light green wool? Would the dark green and the white also have this ? Or are those colours solid ? Lovely , festive trees. Thank you for this fun video.

    Really love this. Which I had the sizes for the wires, since I'm doing this on my own. I didn't have wool, so I'm using fleece for this one. I think it will turn out nice. I'll have to figure out the wire size though.

      thank you kindly. I did manage to make 2 last year that turned out pretty nice. Use fleece forest green scarves since I didn't have the wool. Looks still great. I just adjusted the lenght as I went down the tree. A half inch for each row I believe is what I had used too.
