Great stuff, Doug! I never thought much about Nurgle until I read Nagash: the Undying King and was so surprised by how warm and entertaining the Nurgle leaders were.
Hm, I have the feeling something is missing here. There was no mentioning of the realmgate Wars except for Bloabs end. All three of them fought in the jade kingdom (together with the Glottkin and Torglug the Despiced.
Morbidex Twiceborn fought against the Hollowed Knights at the oak of ages and later all three maggotlords tried to lay an ambush for the hollowed knights on the way to pupa Grotesse to find the way to Athelwyrd, but it failed because the hollowed knights used a floating island.
After the invasion of Athelwyrd we basicly only heard about Bloab in the Scabrous Sprawl.
Partly I thought all three died, but looks like my remembering was wrong here.
It's also a little sad that there only the three named maggotlords and no generic ones.
I like how you dont just give facts about theme, you actually dissect the characters. Plus good music

Yanno, Nurgle really is kinda the only chaos god who makes a point to do things for the sake of their followers. Sure, Bloab's story was more of a reprimand, and Orghott never got his daemonhood (although, if he did, he'd never have learned to appreciate his mortal side), but his gift to Morbidex was really only to his benefit. Morbidex was a miserable, grieving man who embarked on a suicide mission. Instead of letting him break himself on this mountain or demanding he do something insane, Nurgle just sent him some friends to help this sad man who lost everything find joy again. Other gods make you slaughter thousands, Nurgle just wants you to be the best you can be, warts and all. Papa bless.

Any idea when that might be? I'm brand new to the hobby--have been loving your channel BTW--and its Arkhan with a skeleton horde that I want to play with. But I'm assuming it makes more sense to wait for the new battletome before picking up models, correct? How long after announcing a new battletome does it normally take before we can purchase them?
