Hi there please can you do the family policies 20 marker guide as well as some possible crime and deviance 30 markers with social control and finally 20 marker Theory approaches? Also thank you for this video it’s part of my syllabus I sincerely appreciate it:)
Would it be sufficient to do three/four main paragraphs - one policy per paragraph - and evaluate the ways that each one improved/worsened inequality? And then do a conclusion where you weigh up the overall effect of educational policies on inequality?

Hi , depends on what the question is. If it asks for all three , you must talk about them all
I also am struggling to include specific sociologists for this question. I have made a timetable of the 1944 Butler Act, the Comprehensive 1965 schools, the 1988 Reform Act, and New Labour and Coalition government policies, but yeah struggling to add specific studies/ sociologists to each one :(

Could this come up as 30 marker this year as marketisation policy has came up as a 30 marker and class, ethinicty and gender have already came up
Good question. If they were to repeat policies they may ask it from a different angle. Eg. The impact of policies aimed to narrow inequalities, or policies aimed to widen equality of opportunity.

i say 1 policy per paragraph backed up with a theory/ theorist whilst including key concepts :)
@Adidas_Man3107 I mean large ones such as ERA and league tables would come under key concepts as thats what the act implemented
@Adidas_Man3107 what exam board are you? I am AQA and my advanced information says yes along with privatisation and marketisation with a strong focus on educational policies and DEA. So, I am guessing a focus on new right would be a good idea and their views on education but I’m guessing there may be 10 markers on that yes.
Hello, regarding education policies, do I go all the way back in time and include the 1944 Butler Act, or do I just include more recent ones. I’m struggling to understand which policies to include in which question regarding policies. I know this will be a big question as stated on the advanced information so I really want to make sure I get it right🤞🏽🤞🏽🤞🏽
I believe unless It mentions a specific time period in the title of the question you can mention the butler act or the education act of 1944 are u sitting the aqa paper on Monday ?
@Natalia Malecka hey, do u think it will it be a waste of time to talk about these policies in details if the question isn't specifically asking about them?
also do u know what the hints in the question will be so i would know when to talk about them cause I think if its asking about marketisation, privatisation and globalisation to mention 1980s onwards but I'm not sure about the previous policies xx

Its an intro,3 agree paragraphs, 3 disagree paragraphs, conclusion.8 paragraphs
