I just got one of these for Christmas and I love it so much it’s my ideal wah pedal I love at how powerful the wah effect is before I got this I was using a vox wah and when I was using that I felt like the wah sound wasn’t enough and then I got the slash wah and it’s exactly what I was wanting in my head
i just bought one of these and they sound incredible !!
btw if you are looking to get one of these, dont bother unless you have a good amp because you just wont appreciate the difference

Hey, I bought a Slash wah a few years ago and from the day I got it it howls and screeches loud with even a little gain, if you turn the gain mostly down the wah is really quiet but anything over a certain point and it goes nuts. Does anyone else have this problem?

WICKED! seen this pedal before, but never knew there was a distortion pedal mixed in there too! first saw it in a dunlop panflet after getting my first cry baby....now i reconsidereing my purchase :-\ lol \m/

I absolutley love my Slash Wah iiii]; )' Its kick ass
I own this pedal and it's fn' awesome. It has a lot of pros like the LED light to let you know that it's on (trust me, REALLY helpful for live shows when some smart ass decides it's a good idea to turn off the lights when you're about to play a solo). But it has a major con. The non-distortion sound is too weak and the distortion is too damn powerful, it produces an annoying beep. This can be solved with a LOT of practice, this pedal is very awesome and useful once you master it.
You say the distortion is too powerful. Well there's an easy way to fix that. The gain knob on the side of the wah is meant to control distortion intensity. Adjust that to your liking and it should sound better.

it makes SO much hum with boost and it is VERY loud! You should also buy a hum reductor pedal if you wona use it!

what i do is turn the gain knob all the way down, then turn the volume barely past 12 o clock. try that out
I have been played and checked demo's of signature wah pedals and the only ones I think sound good are the Dime, Zakk and Jerry Cantrell as the rest seem very harsh.

i'm having trouble using the distortion on the pedal. it just fuzzes and buzzes, and makes a horrible tinny over-gain

Can anyone help me!? I am looking for a wah pedal and i have narrowed it down to either the slash classic cry baby or the Zakk Wylde cry baby. I play a lot of mettallica ozzy megadeath etc. but i also play a lot of guns and roses and led zeppelin. Does any one have any idea on which i should get?

I love Slash but I think this pedal has too many bells and whistles.I own the Zakk Wylde wah and absolutely love it especially when you put it with a distorted amp.It doesn't get muddy and has a very wide sweep even so that I had to dial it back just a touch.
How does this Wah's EQ sweep compare to The Vox Series. Like the V845? Is it bigger or smaller? I'm looking for a rather large EQ sweep.

@aassyr1111 haha dude, i totally agree with you. He just does a lot of bends and all of the sudden it has "feeling." He certainly isn't John Petrucci or Steve Vai. lol. Slash's playing just doesn't ... impress me. At all.

Fender makes nice guitars but for me gibson is better. Just prefer humbuckers and 24.75 scale neck and so on.

@carsguitars92 Steve Vai. He is amazing and pretty popular. So is John Petrucci. I can name a few underrated guitarists. Like John 5, Andy Timmons, Joe Bonamassa, Paul Gilbert, Bumblefoot, Also i think Slash's tone is awful. Now John Petrucci, Andy Timmons and Joe Bonamassa have amazing tones.

The sc95 wah pedal works with a strat. You have to know how to use it.
