Loved James Brown since I was 6 years old in the 60's and to know that Fred is and was a big part of creating that funky beat (trailblazer) that so many others have followed, and being a huge part of American music and its sound today is just fantastical!! Much Love and flowers to this brother while he is still with us!! 😊😎✌

they are actually 2 bands: Fred Wesly and the JBs, and Maceo Parker And The Macks. When all grouped they are James Browns Funky people. And additionaly : Fred+Maceo+ Pee Wee Ellis = The horny horns.

I havé seen James Brown twice. In Pori and Espoo Finland. But Fred Wesley I saw in thé nineties in a small basement club in Amsterdam. And it was much beter than James ‘s new band . When I would have known he plaid somewhere in the Baltic I would have gone. To see my favorite trombone player. Gr Eddy

Just want to say that these musicians, and this music is nothing but excellent and Fun! I'm a musician too so can appreciate what you do! That keyboardist can Play! I've been listening to this, studying it, and that bassist also Rocks my world! I wanto hire him; he cuts it ouch! 😂Lovin this loving it. Thanks for this lovely compilation with Fred Wesley "signature" all over it~! (You can hear Fred all over it! 😊).Very nice to play keys along wiht. In fact, Each of the musicians does play just brilliantly-Drummer kudos, horns and wind, Oh Yeah. You all send Me anyway. This song is So FUN!! A Refreshment to the Soul can't stop dancing.
