There are literally cases where doctors tell the patient that they HAVE TO continue drinking, or their body will legitimately stop functioning because it has adjusted to the alcohol. Fatal withdrawal syndrome is a very, very real thing.

It really bothers me that they think he's an empathetic character, frank for the entire show was a monster letting a woman die for her money, wasting his kids lives and abusing them and at times conning them to have kids. And at the end they try to make u feel bad for him I never was able to forgive Frank for anything he did and his motivations where so narcissistic and gross, fuck you frank your family deserved so much better
The entire show is meant to show the messed up life full of mistakes, willful screws and bad decisions that come from generational trauma, systemic poverty, and addictions. They are showing an ugly side to ppl trying to survive and maybe make something of their life and that not always going to plan. Like the smart kid Lip, so brilliant yet extremely self destructive. This show makes ppl not always get it right or get it terribly wrong And Frank dying and floating? Interpret away, I think as the ultimate fuck up they were making an effort to show a release from pain.
At the end of the day, being an alcoholic meant he had an illness. Who he was when he drank wasn't the real him exactly-or at least not all of it was the real him.

Fiona at the time became an entrepreneur investing in properties ,she invested 100k dollars in a property, but contrary to her believe her investment wasn't going to make profit quickly and she was required to pay 25k more which she didn't own ,so she decided to mortgage the apartment complex she owns but the bank wouldn't allow it due to the fact that she already did twice . While she was pressured to gain that money,she find out her boyfriend at the time is actually married and has a kid which a resulted into her hitting rock bottom,she crushed her ,broke her hand ,the hospital bills took the last remaining of her money, she had to sell her apartment complex and her investment wasn't successful, she also started drinking to tame the pain. Throughout the rest of the season, fiona basically became alcoholic which costed her job as a Manager of a diner . Due to several incidents, lip kick her from the house, she spend her night in the abandoned apartment complex ,she woke up in pain and felt shifty, so she decided to go to aa,find a job and eventually she returned to the house. The dude that she invested with offer to buy her share,she accepts the offer and decide it is time for her to leave so leave her family with half the money and she take off and never to be seen again

I finnished watching it yesterday for the first time i watched it all in 4 or 5 weeks and the first 5 seasons were the best. After that it felt a little empty overall rating for me is 8.5
I watched the Kingdom of the planet of the apes with my mom recently, and I put the movie on pause the moment he appeared on screen. We were silent, pointed, looked at each other, and laughed for maybe 10 minutes. "Hahaha, that's fock'n Frankie Gallagher, hahaha, haha!" < For 10 minutes 😂

Looks like by the way this character lived and his state of mind during his demise he may have likely been floating in the wrong direction......then again its just a TV show and he gets to float whatever way the writers want him too.

He was stated in the show to have alcohol induced dementia. So his booze pickled brain would have gotten him regardless
In the end. Frank died alone. None of his family was there to see it happen. Also, he is going to Hell. In this show, Hell is up, not down.

I finnished watching it yesterday for the first time i watched it all in 4 or 5 weeks and the first 5 seasons were the best. After that it felt a little empty overall rating for me is 8.5

I watched the Kingdom of the planet of the apes with my mom recently, and I put the movie on pause the moment he appeared on screen. We were silent, pointed, looked at each other, and laughed for maybe 10 minutes. "Hahaha, that's fock'n Frankie Gallagher, hahaha, haha!" < For 10 minutes 😂
