I kinda have a theory, since Hyness and the Mages refer Void Termina as a dark lord, it's first form was meant to represent their perception of it. Think about it, not only did Void Termina absorb their powers, but their beliefs, as it was able to create an outer shell meant to represent "their" Dark Lord as its appearance share similarities to Hyness and the generals, even summoning their weapons. So basically, Void Termina created an appearance that was a physical manifestation of Hyness and the Mages twisted visions.

Basically, aside from Nightmare, all of the enemies that have a Souls form and are related to dark matter and the Halcandrans all have to do with this Void Termina. Makes you wonder how they will top this in the next mainline game.
I suppose the real question is this: Is Void Termina the source of all the other enemies, an amalgamation of them...or just a particularly nasty spawn of the REAL source?
He's only confirmed to be the progenitor of the Dark Matter race and the Master Crown Other villains that aren't already connected to Dark Matter, like Sectonia and Star Dream, have literally nothing to do with him Unless you wanna get into the fact that Sectonia was corrupted by Dark Mind which is theorized to be the Mirror World Dark Matter but that's a whole nother wormhole
After fighting this final boss, my eyes have never been so blessed in my life. My god this game was beautiful, and the part where all the allies came at Kirby's side just gave me non-stop chills.

Also, what was that "galactic nightmare" he said they defeated long time ago? Could that be Zero?
Maybe they were a part of the Halcandrain race but got banished for being too insane? I'm not sure if that's true, though. We don't even know what the Ancients look like.

After all, if the Jambastion Mages were the ones to seal him away the first time, it’d make sense that they’d have the power to free him as well, hence why there’s even a portal that brings Galacta Knight to you- One that Hyness had been working on. According to the creators, the EX modes are essentially What-if scenarios, so I think that Guest Star??? Star Allies Go! is an alternate scenario where after Hyness broke the Jamba Heart on accident, he instead decided to free Galacta Knight as his backup revenge against the Ancients- Which makes sense, since he claims that they were punished despite being the heroes in that crisis. Might as well make the Halcandrans eat their words and release Galacta Knight due to their lack of gratitude.

Also Gooey comes from Dark Matter as well and he can use copy abilities. Miracle Matter, Dark Nebula and a bit of the first form seem to use elemental abilities as well. So that might be it.

something important of note is the flavor text. it says that at first void termina only destroyed because that was all it knew. only now it is growing sentience. sonow it's destroying not because it has to but because it WANTS to.... and not only that but during the fight, Void soul laughs at you during it's needle attack! this means that not only is it growing sentience but it is already learning emotions. at the rate it's mind is evolving it wouldn't be long before void gains full intelligence. really think about that. i mean really think about that. Void Termina was already incredibly dangerous before when it was a mindless force of destruction. so imagine how dangerous such an entity can be with the ability to learn!

William Baggott somehow he even beats 02 in creep factor! With his concealed face, the eerie motif accompanying, his speech sounds, mannerisms and psychotic ramblings....yeah he’s by far the creepiest. It certainly doesn’t help that he’s the leader of a cult and uses corpses for weapons. I mean there’s grievous game with a body and then there’s this!
People always underestimate Kirby games by saying they’re too easy and cute. Well let me tell you that Kirby games can be freaking creepy and hard as heck. (Marx Soul, Magalor Soul, Dark Matter, EX Void Termina, etc.)
This thing is using Zero's power, Dark Matter was created by Zero and contains Zero's Essence. All this means is that when Zero returns, he will be even more powerful than ever before.
All that I can say is that this game is fantastic... After that Gurren Laggan reference on the last game I thought they couldn't make anything better than that... I was so wrong and they pull off a Getter Beam in this game... this game is amazing... Kirby games never stop to surprise me. Everything about this ending excited me. From the second you defeat Zan Partizanne for the second time onwards is an experience that made the entire game worth it. Hyness' creepy ass music times to his walk, his unhinged monologue, his unhinged fight, Void Termina's behemoth Majora-ass looking fight that just so epic, his core that mimics Kirby and turns your allies against you, turning into zero. All of it was just SO fucking well crafted. I'm excited to see what else they give this game going forward.

After playing through this, I theorize that Void Soul is the origin of all Dark Matter. The description states that it was capable of resurrection and depending on the conditions, could be either evil or good. The white appearance combinined with the Dark Matter monoeye shape during some of its attacks, combined with splitting or creating smaller versions of itself gives the impression that even bosses like 0 are simply creations of Void or another form of it

I love this return to form of bosses that aren't just dark in lore(sectonia soul and star dream, albeit i greatly enjoyed those two as well) but surreal cosmic horrors in appearance as well! The phase that shows further signs of connection to zero/dark matter with the face turning into a horrific eye gets me even more hyped up for a possible full-fledged return of zero!

All that I can say is that this game is fantastic... After that Gurren Laggan reference on the last game I thought they couldn't make anything better than that... I was so wrong and they pull off a Getter Beam in this game... this game is amazing... Kirby games never stop to surprise me. Those are really underrated games specially unknown for a lot of mecha and anime fans

Everything about this ending excited me. From the second you defeat Zan Partizanne for the second time onwards is an experience that made the entire game worth it. Hyness' creepy ass music times to his walk, his unhinged monologue, his unhinged fight, Void Termina's behemoth Majora-ass looking fight that just so epic, his core that mimics Kirby and turns your allies against you, turning into zero.
All of it was just SO fucking well crafted. I'm excited to see what else they give this game going forward.

After playing through this, I theorize that Void Soul is the origin of all Dark Matter. The description states that it was capable of resurrection and depending on the conditions, could be either evil or good. The white appearance combinined with the Dark Matter monoeye shape during some of its attacks, combined with splitting or creating smaller versions of itself gives the impression that even bosses like 0 are simply creations of Void or another form of it

I love this return to form of bosses that aren't just dark in lore(sectonia soul and star dream, albeit i greatly enjoyed those two as well) but surreal cosmic horrors in appearance as well! The phase that shows further signs of connection to zero/dark matter with the face turning into a horrific eye gets me even more hyped up for a possible full-fledged return of zero!
