@@BikerTorque Ahhhh, yet there are plenty of people that told me to just make do with a Shotgun, that IT was the new Classic. To them I say HA! Iggits. 😏
Never thought I would like a Burgandy/Cream colour scheme. But this will be the third bike that I have seen it on and liked it. The first was a 90's Moto Guzzi Cali and the second, a mid 2000'2/2010's Triumph Rocket 3. Smart marketing by Royal Enfield not releasing the whole range of 650's at the same time. Gives each one a time to shine in the sales room and for the media to review. Hope you get one to review when they come out.
I enjoy your channel, thanks. I've been thinking it's a shame that virtually none of the TH-camrs are talking about the RE Classic 500 anymore. I think they're brilliant bikes 😃 I've got an iron barrel 500 and a classic 500 with a side car, love them! I'm nearly back from my trip from SE Tassie to FNQ and back on my Super Meteor 650, fantastic bike and has behaved impeccably. My brother and I fitted the belt drive conversion from RSTech, bloody brilliant can't recommend it highly enough 😁 All the best, Felix 😄
Thanks for that, glad you enjoy the channel. You sound like the perfect candidate for a rider story, let me know if you’d be keen to share your story, great way to get more Classic 500 videos up on TH-cam. Your trip sounds awesome and belt drive sounds like a pretty sensible upgrade also.
The only thing I didn't like about this motorcycle is the bend on the exhaust, right by the rider's foot peg. The Classic bike should have a straight muffler to really get the looks right, just like the Classic 350 and Classic 500. Make the muffler straight and it's perfect!
I guess it’ll be a massive success unlike Shotgun. I’ve not Seen even a single Shotgun on the road here in India which is RE’s “home country” and largest market.
This is what I've been waiting for... since the baffling discontinuation of the 500. This typed, I'm confused, as the Bullet is traditionally a (single cylinder) thumper... which I thought might be why it's been delayed (to develop a more powerful engine on par with their recent work). While it may have the look, can this bike be a "real" Bullet if it isn't a thumper? Still, I'm the target audience. Fingers crossed it turns out well!
Definitely think this was a missed opportunity...I know people were clamoring for this...but this should have been the opportunity for them to actually get a beast 500 beast that could take on the BSA! While the 650 is a super engine, I dont think it is the same character one would expect on the classic! That has to be a single....sigh
I can’t help but think you are right about it being a missed opportunity…but, RE have been killing it for the last 6 years or so so confident they know what they are doing.
Thanks for this guys. No doubt there has been demand for the return of a larger 'classic' after the demise of the 500. There has also been much speculation about a 650 Scrambler (referred to as the Bear I think) being imminent. RE often drip feeds model variants, so do you think the Classic or the Scrambler might be first, or possibly do you think they might be released together? FYI, my interest is the Scrambler moreso than the Classic. Cheers.
Thanks for watching. So its a good point, and there is a very good chance that we might see both, just like when they originally released the Interceptor with the Continental GT together…but…if it’s a proper off road going scrambler you are after, I wouldn’t be waiting for the Scrambler 650, personally I would buy a Himalayan 450, because that bike rocks.
Needs an air cooled single not just shoeing the interceptor engine into yet another model, even if it had to have a small radiator on it as a single I’d definitely buy it.
@@BikerTorque I have had a hand full of bikes with both starters and the kick was my go to. Love the feeling of bring it to life. Felt closer to to me.
@@BikerTorque Haven't ridden the 450 Himalayan. All reports say that suspension is excellent. Unfortunately these days I need a less cramped foot peg position. I have tested the Meteor, Super Meteor and Interceptor. With the first two the rear suspension has hardly any travel. Quality is irrelevant when there's only 3 inches of wheel movement.
Same engine as gt, shotgun, int, ect. All the other parts are proportionate parts off the classic 350. How many ways can you package, market, and sell the same old pile of dogshit??? It will be fairly old news when it arrives in the united states, sales staff and service departments still have absolutely no knowledge of these machines. Parts are extremely hard to find in the United States if you do your own service, overall rather weak market in the united states. Everything pretty much sucks about the royal enfield in the U.S. market. Call the north America headquarters in Milwaukee and just ask some relatively obvious question. I almost guarantee you can hear crickets on the other end. And the absolute lies some of these dealerships will try to pull. Oh yeah, we are forced "by law" to charge 5 to 10 fees on top of the sales price. I say bullshit. I have been to a few dealerships that dont charge for freight, set-up, doc fees, ect. And then once the thing needs an oil change you get some young person with the social skills of a zoo animals messing up your bike. Oh, that will be $500. It is absolutely not the motorcycles fault. However everyone involved in the situation is a complete dysfunctional fool.
@@aaronbrewer1742 sounds a bit harsh on the mechanic, fair enough of a complaint if he/she messes up your bike, but their social skills shouldn’t necessarily come under fire. Some of the best mechanics I know are on the spectrum.
@geralddavison6307 I am OK with people having "spectrum issues." Usually very hard working and honest people. Here is my situation. 2022 royal enfield classic 350 purchased by me brand new. Of course it had a faulty speedometer instrument cluster. A well known warranty issue with this year, make, and model. The dealership wanted to charge me for the part and then the labor. I had to go above them and call royal enfield corporate of north America and explain my warranty claim. I get a very reluctant call from the dealership telling me when I could bring my bike in to have the cluster replacement. I get my bike back 90 minutes later. The new cluster is installed so loose that it rattles and hums. This kid, yes kid mechanic looks at me and says "that is as good as I can do." He then says "it is what it is." It's just this "fuck you" attitude that they all have at most dealerships that I have been to. So yeah, I am going to be a bit "honest" about my experience. They are on a "spectrum " for sure....
This is the RE that I’ve been waiting for. The nacelle and instrumentation will bring it into similar styling as my Bullet 500.
You aren’t alone.

Hey Matty, yes it's a real old school colour scheme that just oozes class, not surprised to see it on a Guzzi also.
The Classic 350 is so pretty, this will be awesome.
We hope so
Given our highway speed limits a 650 will sell better than a 350 in North America. In Texas for instance they have 85 mph speed limits.
Agree
I am from Texas. This is the classic we need/want!!!!

Yes maybe, but I still think they are onto a winner
I hope it's just testing mule made from Shotgun and there will be some sort of 2 to 1 exhaust on the Classic.
That would actually look pretty cool, don’t see it happening though.
A true classic will have a kick starter with a electronic one. That would sell me in a second ❤
