Pro tip for hellux After you loot your items if you leave party instead of exiting through the portal you skip that exit portal and just go straight back to where you were
Flame score so you can do it mentally: 1 Main Stat = 1 Point 1 Secondary Stat = 1/3 Point, rounded down 1 Weapon/Magic Attack = 5 Points 1% All Stat = 10 Points

You add up the values together and then you can determine how good the different flames are to your other equipment. Weapon is excluded from all this since weapon flames work entirely differently and you just focus on getting the best attack flame for your weapon that is possible.

@@theenvoy6601 All of the equips follow the same scoring rule except for weapon which is very unique in its flame because it is the only equipment that you can get very high attack on. There are tiers like max for flame advantage equips is 7 attack and max all stat % is 7%. But we are not basing things on tiers, we are basing on the total score when you add up the values. Arcane gear you are aiming for 140+ effective flame score or higher, if you are insanely lucky you can get 200+ flame score on arcane gear, but that is so insanely rare that you will never see it happen. Usually you get a combination of main stat, secondary stat, attack, and % all stat so you add up the values in their flame score worth for your class to see how good everything is when added up together. This way of doing things allows you to do everything mentally (inside your head) so you are not relying on a program that someone made up for a system that was created solely by fans of the game. Flame scores get higher the higher the equipment's level is. So all level 200 equipment that are flame advantage can get the same flame score values, all flame advantage level 160 equipment can get similar flames to each other, etc.

This indicates the only person who knows the exact flame value variations is the Maplestory developers who made the gear system so we will never know the min/max value aside from the stat% at 7% for 160/200 gear onwards. Ok this is sufficient for an aswer. Funny how so many years into the game and we dont get a clear value system to reference from to make our gear planning smoother, granted this is a quality of life thing than a game requirement.
