LMAO I watched this whole ass video just to realize this exact same thing.
Man built a working generator using hot glue, cardboard, CDs , a rubber band and a working generator.
That's not a generator that's a motor. It's the part that allows a generator to make energy.
@@acecaesar4999 clearly you dont know that a generator and a motor are pretty much the exact same thing, because your wrong.
Motor converts electricity into mechanical energy where as a generator converts mechanical energy into electricity.
Here the spinning of the wheel is the mechanical energy that drives the electromagnetic coil to spin around magnets producing current via lenz law. If it were a motor the wheel would spin independently when hooked up to electricity.

now instead of using a lightbulb, place the ends of a plug and charge your phone! that would be pretty cool. you could probably also use a gear ratio connected to the handle to spin the wheel faster with ease and generate more power. if you wanted to, you could also add capacitors to store charge and then eventually charge your phone without having to continuously krank it
