He has to break that barrier cuz in his head he doesn’t think he can hit high notes but hearing his range in the first minute it’s obvious that the potential is there he just has to practice and strain his voice a bit until it clicks how to hit different octaves and pitches using different breathing techniques, parts of your throat/diaphragm, and volume. As someone who taught himself how to sing it’s mostly mental and anyone can learn to sing

I think the mixture of that plus the nostalgia of this song and that pretty dress is what’s making me tear up, at least more than usual.
