Paper and oil capacitors are used only in the tone stack and coupling section between the phase inverter and output electron tubes stage. Paper and oil capacitors where designed for high voltage application including electron tube circuits. Side note: Polypropylene capacitors are often my first choice. I often prefer the Solen fast cap type. What do you prefer?

To be honest I don’t like paper and oils caps especially on the output bias circuit.
