Thank you for another wonderful show. I have been a Gordon Lightfoot fan for years. So many memories. 1. Singing 10 Degrees and Getting Colder at a church event, while my friend played his Martin guitar. Or he may have been playing his 12-string. 2. Sitting on the grass to see Gordon Lightfoot at Merriweather Post Pavilion in the 80's. 3. Watching the Edmund Fitzgerald (or a similar ore carrier) slowly work its way up the Cuyahoga River in Cleveland to deliver iron ore to Republic Steel when I worked there in the late 60's.
The first concert I ever attended was in 1976 at Garden State Arts Center in Holmdel New Jersey. Liona Boyd opening for Gord. I met him at a hot dog stand before the show and asked for his autograph. He looked at the hot dogs he held in each hand and said "there is no rest for the wicked." He happily obliged though, and even said he liked my shirt. I'll never forget how nice he was to me. My favorite singer of all time. Rest in peace, Gord.
Nice meeting you both yesterday at the party. We missed the livestream, but watched the video later on TH-cam. It was great! Hope to see more of both of you soon. Dave & Mark
