Mira is an absolute doll in this video, and Helen is super cool as always. Ladytron's quiet style makes them super sexy. The music is completely hypnotic. And I agree that the crowd sucks. It makes me sick how spoiled people have come. Bands as great as Ladytron don't need our appreciation to be great, but we have an inherent responsibility to show our love for their seductive style and sound.
Totally. That's one lame ass crowd...did they attend the wrong event by mistake? This song sounds amazing live!! Primarily because the band was fully focused on on delivering the aural goods. While I can certainly appreciate a dynamic stage show if it's a part of an artist's mode of expression, I'm often surprised by the number of people who consider such bells and whistles to be essential. Those of us who attend concerts primarily to hear music don't require anything more.
@1400deadwood I suppose it's possible, although it doesn't really fit with my own experiences with audience response at any shows I've attended. Typically the more entrancing a song is to an audience, the greater the response it elicits when it ends. People want to be transported somewhere else emotionally during a live performance, and if they are connecting with the music they want to show their approval and appreciation in between songs. I've never been to a show where people showed approval by staying quiet after a song. During a song, yes, absolutely agree with you. I actually prefer that people keep quiet and just experience the music DURING a song. But you need to give some energy back to the band and show some appreciation when it ends if you're connecting with it, it's just courtesy in my opinion.
@1400deadwood But you know what's the worst...when you go to a seated show and you end up having to sit behind people who decide to talk/scream at each other throughout the entire concert. And they're not even talking about the show itself, just an endless stream of pointless alcohol-induced banalities about their life. And usually if they're asked to be quiet, they respond by becoming even louder and more obnoxious. Boggles my mind that anyone would be willing to pay today's ticket prices if they have no interest in actually watching/listening to the show, and on top of that, derive some sort of perverse pleasure from making sure no one in their radius is able to enjoy it either. Why would they not just go to a bar instead?
