@@imtx_xmti Yeah.... I cannot imagine playing a game like TFT 12 hours a day..... He needs to switch off to other games, otherwise he will feel like this every set lol
Set 6 should be the permanent set. at least they need to have the revival of it ASAP. Set 6 was the absolute most flexible and fun set. Mercs tiny titans opening were the best
I mean that's not a set issue but statistical necessity for the game tft. If you play a lot of games you are going to encounter statistical outliers, that is not something they will be able to fix no? With every set players that dedicate their life to figuring out the game will come closer and closer to approach the "best" way to play. And if the top players approach a sort of optimal play straight up luck is often going to decide who wins and who looses.
What people like BoxBox hate is how streamlined the game is now, and the fact that now you kinda lock into lines early or die since what they used to call Flex Play is something Riot has tried to get away from in recent sets.
But that's not even what he's complaining about. Yes, it kinda sucks that the game gets "solved." But that isn't the issue this set has. It's items and carries. Get a rageblade? Kalista is more or less the only viable carry. Infinity Edge/AD Items? Varus it is. Literally anything else? Guess you're going for i don't even know, warrior preservers?
@@heulboje21 Yeah you hit the nail straight on the head, like if you decide to slam carry items early on to be strong or save hp, you are kinda already locked in, with ad carry item especially, as u mentioned guinsoos kinda forces kalista since smolder is suicidal and a 5cost, IE? Varus is the only out, they kinda did themselv into a corner and hope they learn from this
@@cangaroojack But that's just the logical conclusion of good plays. You see your items and your spot early and aim from that point to the best possible endgame board. With a more intricate understanding of how to play with gold and what augments are good or needed from the spot you are in, players improve how to accurately predict their best line of play over the seasons. A analogy perhaps, are you familiar with how professional fortnite evolved and how the progression of perfecting how to play the game made it virtually impossible to enjoy if you were not able to play it on the same level? A similar thing is happening every time when players push the boundaries of the fundamental mechanics of a game.
@unr3markabl393 Yeah, but that's not how it has to be. In past sets, slamming an IE, for example, still let you pivot into completely different, even not ad builds. I know that change is bc of the IE - JG split, but it's just one example. It has never felt that limited where one set of items is fantastic on one carry but almost completely unplayable on another. The only item that comes to mind this set is maybe Red Buff and Adaptive...
You can yap all you want in the comments. Yes, not hitting and statistical outliers are a thing, something he is aware of and is not at the core of his critique. It's not really what box is annoyed by. If you played TFT from the beginning you can see that with the last sets, and especially this one, you're forced to lock into a single comp/line too early, which then turns the game into a slot machine in early stages already. In other sets you had more options to flex the game out even in later stages. What plays a role is the shrunken 4 cost pool, the individual carry balance, limited set of playable items for different carries, and even some augments. It's multi faceted but shows up in a challenger flex player not hitting 2* carries in 4h of playing. Some of the augments/charms are designed to specifically ease out those issues (get a spat, remove and break apart items etc) while only being available when you luck out, instead of providing a way to play flex. And they're more or less evidence of the balance being off. And to the ones saying he's burnt out, I agree, hell, even Box agrees. But that's also why he also plays other games on the side to balance it out, be it Tekken/Streetfighter and whatnot. Streaming TFT is part of his job after all, though, and you can't blame him for being annoyed that his job is made sour by these issues. And airing these issues out instead of silently letting them eat you up is a way to cope.
I feel like trench coating the milio was a mistake idk.. the clone barely ults, boxbox loses of the fights after that and at that point the only thing he needed was a strong frontline
I agree with this set, it started off great I'd say it was actually more balanced in the first patch and then once we went to kalista varus it was all downhill from there. They just need to learn to buff individual units rather than nerfs constantly that just shoe horn it into like 2 comps
The first patch wasn't arguably the worst it just was a fact the worst balance ever in tft. 2 star syndra wiping entire boards... Karma, arhi... Brutua I don't think you play tft.
> plays game that revolves around RNG and doesnt play meta comps > loses because he got unlucky > complains if you want to climb ranks, play meta. if you want to have fun, quit complaining and take the losses as granted. you are the only reason you arent able to enjoy the game

My foot.
bro..
did you ever finish grade 2 lol
I feel like if you choose to skip your other plans and play 4 more hours of the game that is driving you insane, that's not on the game
Every set we have BoxBox complaining the state of the game is not enjoyable anymore and hope next set is better
It’s probably from being burntout playing the game so much

There’s just no way the editors think uploading videos of him complaining regardless of winning is a good idea bruh🤣
how many times will boxbox say slamming adaptive sucks and yet keep doing it 😭😭😭😭
If the game gives it to you early and you know you go ap you need to settle. Tbf adaptive was nerfed a lot.
