Это не Hulst, это Hellst какой-то, второй раз Пидкоку здесь не везёт. МвдП машина, но ВвА круче, из такой жопы заехать на 5-е место. Кто такой дель Гроссо, как он вообще заехал в 10-ку?
These accidents are horrible! There are too many riders, and too many lacking experience. The range of rider abilities is too great. The "elite" category of cyclocross pros means exactly just that, & the field should be limited to a maximum of 50-60 riders.
Well, I don’t think the “non-elite” riders had anything to do with the crash at the start…it looked like Cam Mason, Tom Pidcock (elite riders to be sure!) and maybe 1 or 2 others were all trying to fit in the same space. The “non-elites” were well behind them, safely out of the way! And, Wout’s crash had nothing to do with the size of the field!
What are you talking about? I know two of the last seeds (who got lapped) and they are both superb bike handlers, who would amaze you with what they can do on a bike. These crashes are not "horrible", they are part of cross. They usually happen in the front 20/30 riders so how do the guys in the back have anything to do with it?
@@isitrachelorj3953 After years of reviewing these elite pro races, there have been no crashes as bad as this one. With the speeds increasing and fields of riders so large (this one had 99 riders), limiting the number of racers is the best way to address this problem. Getting lapped means those riders are 2.5-3.5 km behind, so they get pulled. Wouldn't a 50-60 pro maximum field provide enough competition & excitement?
@@stevemt3238 "As bad as this one" ? Cam and Pidcock tangled, Pidcock and 2 or 3 other guys went down, happens all the time. Just the other day Cam (again) pulled his foot out on the start line and set off a bigger mess. This has to do with rider faults and aggressiveness - by the big hitters mostly. WVA and Pim tangling later in race was two guys fighting for the same spot. To be sure, there are incidents at the back also, that we don't see on screen. Those don't have anything to do with "to many racers either". Those guys are actually riding against a different group of racers than the "hitters". If you race cross (?) And are not actually fighting for the front, you will understand my point. It's great racing, just not against MVDP and WVA.
99 racers in a cyclocross race is way too many. Thanks again!
Nah! Two of the last seeds were friends of mine. So, good effort Nic and Aiden, Comp Edge Racing, East Longmeadow, MA.
Thanks 👍
Thanks for sharing ❤

@@johns3106 After posting, I rewatched in slo-mo. Yep, the crazy pros were responsible.
