Taxed when you earn, when you save, when you buy, when you sell, when you win, when you inherit, when you live, when you die. For wars you don't want, politicians you don't want, laws you don't want, restrictions you don't want.
Elderly AND the children! I woke this morning and immediately on my mind was how WE could rearrange society - give children back their childhoods, enable them to learn how to play, enable real natural learning - support families, as we need them to really care for their children and have communities and society supporting eachother to do this. WE need to re think all of society and what it is we are allowing by our sheer complacency.
I agree with every word , it would mean clearing out 3/4 of our teachers and collage lecturers who have been corrupting our young for years now , the country could be so easy to get it back to what it used to be , but it would take a government with guts !
It is not paid to the EU! It is just a tax that was invented by the EU and when we joined we replaced purchase tax with VAT on purchases. As we are' in theory' not in the EU it goes direct to our wasteful and useless government.
There's alot of countries in the middle east and Africa Also alot of religions with mental health issues. And they all need feeding eating clothing and housing.
£50 million is a drop in the ocean compared to £12.8 billion to Ukraine and £22billion carbon capture and £8billion ilĺegal migration, £2 billion benefits to non UK indigenous people 😢
But can't afoird winter fuel allonces for pensioners, yet quite happy to pay for fuel on their 2nd & 3rd homes of course as if giving the finger to us pensioners. Xxx
When did our goverment become a charity giving money away to Syria if so what's there charity number and can I cancel my prescription as I never joined
The tax that people and hard working folk pay is utterly ridiculous. They slowly strangle us. We are like slowing boiled frogs in a pan. AND we see hardly anything for it. That is the kick in the guts when we are already on the floor.
I am 63 now and my whole working life I have had the attitude that our elderly are very important people . That they have contributed a lot in taxes and more their whole life . As I grew up I was grateful that they had seen us through a terrible war and deserved all the help and respect that we can give them now in old age . They have contributed a lifetime and deserve to be looked after as best we can to give them a most comfortable retirement and I expected that that was what the government would be doing , making sure they were well looked after because of all the tax they'd payed in their lifetime , how disappointed I am now as an older and less naive person that they are not being looked after in comfort at all . I always donated to Help the Aged because of my respect for the older generation and their contribution to making our younger lives better . The cycle should be , they look after us , then we look after them . I believe a countries taxes should be for that country and it's natives first and foremost to make everyone the most comfortable here .
Unfortunately the elderly seem to be the last on the list of concern in the UK it’s a shame as they have provided so much to the country over the years. Reform UK for a brighter future 🇬🇧
The whole taxation system is so corrupt. A fair system would choose to either tax you on your income OR tax you on your expenditure. The fact that we have so many post tax taxes is practically criminal. For example, a high rate tax payer with a nice home will have to pay say £3000 council tax but would have to earn around £6000 gross income to end up with the £3000 so that council tax bill literally costs you £6000. The system is designed to keep us all down. Keep up the good fight Katie.
@kristian5009 - Does anyone actually remember a time BEFORE VAT? ... It's been in use for so long, 70-80 tears, that it's just accepted and rarely questioned! ... I've tried many times to understand how it's meant to work, the pro's and the con's, and always come out with the same result: To benefit the wealthy, and the Gov., while making life more expensive to the final consumer! 🤔
I listened to an Oxford professor today and he says 50 people in the Treasury in Whitehall are financially running the country. They all come from wealthy backgrounds and have never actually done anything before going into powerful positions. Everything is centralised in London.
Katie I agree totally, how did the horrible politicians ever get control of all of us and our money and rights. We the people know what is best. We will take care of each other. We can govern ourselves, right? Sending you prayers, blessings, much love and a great big hug. ❤🙏
Gets me is you wouldn't give money to a friend that you know will waste it on shite. So why are we letting the governments take taxes to pay for shite. 😢 not got a say in it cos we are subservient.
I understand where gypsies and travellers are coming from by not paying any taxes, or contributions to the state! Pity that we don't have the option to do the same. But PAYE, VAT etc has been designed to give us no choice.
Totally agree Katie.. was in New Zealand last week in a supermarket, elderly ppl were a couple of bucks short in the bill... husband without thinking just paid it for them so they didn't have to give up a basic necessity. Pay it forward ❤❤
I'd rather entrust the government of the United Kingdom to the first 500 people listed in the London telephone directory than to the faculty of Oxford University. Unless the party is the Reform Party.
A great man in America recently said that old folk shouldn't have to pay taxes...😊 Theyve already paid in all their lives...👍 I cant think who said this great comment. But whoever he might be he sure is loved..😊 Nope I still cant think of who said it.. but i kinda agree with it and it should be implemented world wide..😊
Love your videos featuring your dogs. 3 weeks ago I had to put to sleep my beautiful boy Ziggy a handsome english pointer. Your content is a great distraction thank you, you're doing a grand job.
Totally agree. So many elderly are just a few pence short of qualifying for heating allowance. It’s almost as if it’s deliberately arranged. £884 per month but to qualify for the Heating allowance you need £880 😢
Weirdly, I dreamt of you last night. We had a lovely night of drinking and laughing... no hanky pinky, just loved talking freely with you. Then a lovely Mark came and you drove off . Thank you Katie. X
Centre! I'm giving up my council flat and moving into a tent at the age of 61,I can't stand the authorities on your back living in a property, gas, electric, rent, council tax water etc etc even hassle letters from tv licensing, though I don't need one!,done with it all
If you have seriously chosen to live in a tent I would stay in your place and pay no bills what so ever and save every penny until they get court action to evict you which would take months, ignore threatening letters, hide your money, screw the system, it stinks and it's rigged, good luck
We know we have to pay tax to keep the country running trouble is we are paying tax to keep the 3rd world running with the billions going abroad SPEND IT HERE there is plenty that needs fixing here
Always makes me think of a quote from the great C.S.Lewis. ‘It is easy to think the State has a lot of different objects-military, political, economic, and what not. But in a way things are much simpler than that. The State exists simply to promote and to protect the ordinary happiness of human beings in this life. A husband and wife chatting over a fire, a couple of friends having a game of darts in a pub, a man reading a book in his own room or digging in his own garden-that is what the State is there for. And unless they are helping to increase and prolong such moments, all the laws, parliaments, armies, courts, police, economics, etc., are simply a waste of time’
I once had someone pay for my shopping at co-op although a bit uncomfortable... I was grateful. And it made their day as well as mine... To my suprise there are the odd nice persons amongst us..😊
UK tax thresholds are far too high -> income tax, NI, capital gains, VAT, council tax, and highest transport/energy costs compared with Europe we are getting a raw deal. In the US workers who are on salaries can claim far more tax as expenses and have a lower tax threshold. If we had services which worked like in Sweden or Norway then the British public wouldn't mind so much.
Politicians are supposedly in place or in power to represent the public and its wants/needs. The point at which they no longer do this then they are no longer fit for purpose. Simple. Defund the fkrs I say, who’s with me ? 🇬🇧 💪 ❤
If you add up every little bit of tax you would find the more goes to them than you get to spend on yourself. The percentages are greater for the tax. The treasury has 50 people from oxbridge that control all spending of every dept of the government.
Katie you are a precious, rare stone. As i was getting gas, i watched a man struggling to find change, for a gal of gas, i was able to give him $20.00 (7 gal) for gas. His face lit up with hope. Then at a grocery store, I watched a disabled elderly man in a w/c searching for change to buy a loaf of bread and a small pkg of deli meat.. ""I told him i hate going to the store for one or two items, he said,'' i cant ever afford to buy more than a few things Iso i helped pay for his food. The next time i was at that store, the cashier told me I started a trend, she was seeing more and more people help pay for our elderlies groceries. That was the only good news i heard in 4 yrs. Make sure when you help people, it doesn't go to drugs, i suggest never giving cash
Yes Katie! I completely agree and i have thought about this for years on and off I’m so sick of seeing our taxes go to fund pointless foreign wars and fund the housing of foreigners it’s utterly soul destroying and infuriating.

Why do we still pay VAT? We left the eu 8 years ago.
because we have been governed by very greedy and very corrupt persons for the last 20 odd years or so.

Then, morality kicks in.
Do I stick with the circles I've become accustomed to and just go with the narrative that we're nurtured to go with?
Or, do we make the leap of massively downsizing the circles, but at the same time, morally having no regrets, and having a small circle that has a lot more meaning than the larger circle??
Long winded maybe but, just saying. 😅😊😉

If self employed with held their taxes indefinitely, will help shut down parliment its paralised manufacturing to bring in digital currency prison.
Historically, societies are judged by how they treat children and elders.
Agree
If all self employed with held their taxes in March delay it indefinitely until they remove migrant funding
They would add penalty charges, then the self employed small businesses would struggle more
