Looking at it like that also makes his initial reaction to Metroman flying over funnier, like, "oh, ok, not going too off script, good! Now for our regularly scheduled panic!"
Y'know, they were onto something with that Copper weakness. Metro Man's character is based on Superman whose strength and nourishment comes from sunlight like plants do. Copper ions are poisonous to plant life and kills them. So even though it's a total fakeout, that was an interesting idea to go with copper for a weakness.

I think Metro Man took a little superspeed break somewhere in the vicinity of 3:10, because his subsequent quip seems to forget that Megamind's metaphor referred to a "Microwave of Evil".
I’ve seen people comment about how ingenious it was for them to include the one frame of Metro Man using his super speed to appear behind Megamind, but the only gripe with that is that in the movie, the one moment they show that he uses his super speed on makes Megamind look like he’s in the middle of screaming, not just standing still smiling.
This reminds me of how most of my life goes when I get in a fight with someone, which is always. Metro man is the eighth grader about to strangle me. Roxanne Ritchi is the Pokémon card I had stolen from him. Minion is my best friend I convinced to help me. And megamind is 11 year old me.
