I want to learn and play field hockey. I am finishing university and I wish I got started sooner, but it is never too late to learn! May I suggest, having some visuals in the video would help people like me who are visual learners be able to picture some of the concepts better. I am excited to watch you channel more. Thank you for sharing!
Thank you!! Thank you for Explaining field hockey I’ll know what to do now in field hocky!! And the ball cant touch any part of your body!!! Thank you!!!!!💜💜💗💜💗💜💗
Hi there!!! Few helps for this video…FH circle inside OD line is 16, not 15. And positioning can be anything from 2 attack, 4 mdsD or or 5 attack, 2 mid and 3 D, etc. There are many different formations!!! Also if you get a red card, you must sit out that game AND the game following. Hope this helps!!!
For a corner, there can be 5 players in the net area (behind the goal line) and the rest of the defense is behind the center line until the ball is in play.
@@probotjagadeeshkumar823 that is for a short corner, I believe for a long corner everyone just goes where they want positionally usually with a defender on each offensive play
Timing does vary by level and location.I know there were many changes in the past year to the duration of different sports. That may be true for many levels and locations, but when I put together this video 35-minute halves was the information I found/ was used locally to me.
The Rules of Hockey set out that matches are in fact 4 quarters of 15min (rule 5.1). However, the guidance states that local governing bodies can set out different periods of play that suit local conditions or levels of play. Hope that helps!

Is there a difference between high school and college rules, or indoor vs outdoor besides field dimensions?
Can you use both sides of the stick
no, in field hockey you can only use one side of the stick. One side is flat the other is rounded.
in long corner is there there any limits for inside of 25 yards line??
limits for players

Your explanation is so beautiful like you .
35 minutes x 2? Isn't 15 minutes x 4 the standard duration of a field hockey match at all levels now?
