@@JaredPizza It is still in court. Tesla did not discriminate against them. Look it up. The person claimed they were being harassed by other coworkers. Then wanted a billion dollars for it. It must have been so traumatic for them. I think the persons name is Karen. The person won the case once and was awarded maybe 400 million dollars. Tesla appealed saying that was insane amount of money. I think it is still in court, but it seems like I recently heard something about it. People has many people of color working for them. People will try to accuse Elon and Tesla of anything and everything.

This is why I watch Rich Rebuilds. Every segment has wry humor in abundance. I could watch this again just to enjoy it. Oh, and I learned a bunch about some vehicles I am not the least bit interested in, but that was fun too.
I really expected him to say something about the level of pollution recorded during comparison tests between R1T & TRX and also about price of filling them up both TRX with gas & R1T with electric charging and not even mention owning costs comparison over a longer period 5 years-10 years only then it will be fair & square in any debacle.. otherwise everything is biased..
@@poplaurentiu4148 Agreed that it would be useful to hear how much it costs per mile for EV vs TRX. Harry's Garage has the best EV reviews. He always gives an analysis of kWhr per KM in real world driving. Time will tell about maintenance costs. EV appears to win in the short term. I suspect battery failure will total most of them out vs gas which get refurbished and go until they disintegrate into a rust heap.
@@user-od9iz9cv1w Well apparently latest tech evolved so much from 10 years ago those first gen did not have pre-heating function in cold winter or to prepare the battery to accept fast charging nor cooling system in hot summer compared to latest versions.. also EV's batteries can be recycled and new batteries have far superior mixtures without rare earth metals ( Cobalt, Lithium.. ) just with aluminum anodes, Natrium phosphate sulfurs and graphene particles in combination with solid state cells might have a new meaning for all EV's old and new.. is just like swap & replace a battery on smartphones, notebooks.. etc if recycling is not available locally, old EV batteries can still be used in homes or other various applications to store electric energy .. in Japan they used old Leaf & Prius batteries to change electrically the rail-pin-mechanism and rail-lights during the night period also on mountain tunnels and old routes.. other people use them to store energy from solar roof panels or wind-mills.. so yeah.. not all EV's burn to the ground, i live in Europe and over here plenty old ev-vehicles (Zoe, Leaf, Prius, BMW i3, e-Golf first gen are still using the OE factory battery from years ago even with more than 70% degradation but with all over-the air up-dates + regular inspections and properly used working fine for taxi service, food or mail deliveries.. if we look on to ice vehicles are not all safer either considering the reported data by NHTSA in fact those are worse but plenty people miss that or major brands pay lots of money that such worse cases never reach to be released in news press..

hey rich you should check your external air temp sensor on the ram it may be giving a false read making the hvac heat higher than its set. I have a VW that did that it would think it would be -50 out at 30 degrees and put out like 100 degree heat on 70. most of your auto hvac systems are based around the outside air temp sensor

I Do the same in a 80’s 3 series. Comparison of Rivian and TRX in the snow is dumb because not same tires. Probably equal weight which is laughable for the ram such a bloated pig.
the trick is to spend the money on good all season tires. the cross climate 2 is 3 peak rated and what I run year round. its a night and day difference running these tires from others in the rain

Yep. If you wouldn't buy a Trx, get the Rivian.
the Rivian only has slightly longer range when towing, but has a tiny bed, actually heavier, no auto tonneau cover that locks and secure the bed, no steer by wire, no 4 wheel steering, *slow* charging, slower acceleration, no self driving, has fragile and easily scratched body and fragile windows. Lol Oh and how many do you think will tow a trailer with their truck and even if they do how often do you think they'd do it? Oh the Rivian also has poorer infotainment display, less responsive one, too. It has less advanced tech and less over the air future updates, no dedicated superchargers network. Oh and it looks like a soccer mom's car, boring looks, does not look badass and way less cool. Ah I almost forgot a little feature the Cybertruck has, it can power your house for 3 days straight AND charge other evs.

My god the TRX is not drinking fuel... it's literally slowing it in big shucks at every second 😂 I like this truck a lot but I live in Europe roads are not that wide and fuel is not that cheap I think if I ever get one for myself I would be always thinking about the - in my bank account every time I stop at the gas station 😂

Hey Rich! Greetings from one of your old Polaris buds. Great video! I bought a Ram 1500 Limited Elite last year. I ordered it with the 3.92 gearing and it will pull 11,400 lbs. It also has 4 corner air suspension for load leveling. Unbelievably comfortable ride. Not quite the oomph of the TRX but they're different beasts. I had to chuckle when you described Oklahoma. I think you nailed it! Every other episode of the "The First 48" is shot in Tulsa. ;-)

Working in the auto industry for the past ten years has taught me it's foolish to have an opinion about a car you've never driven. I've driven a Rivian R1T and a Raptor (not a TRX yet) and it's obvious that anyone who is a real car fan will find joy in both. Talking down about something you've never experienced is just pathetic.

For towing in the TRX, just add a couple of air bags between the rear axes. Between $500-$1000 depending on if you want a built in wireless air pump. That’s what I did on my Titan XD Diesel towing a 14,000lb fifth wheel(slightly over the limit) problem solved…ish
The RAM TRX is just a class 2a (1/2 ton) pickup. The Titan XD is a class 2b (3/4 ton) pickup. Bit of a difference there.
Airbags can still be added to counter act sag from having a heavy trailer attached, thus compressing the springs. It’s obviously what he’s often using it for. It can only help level it out and alleviate some of the stress

Welcome to the RAM family I don't know if you read the comments but you need to get the Tazet DT from Z automotive and the Alfa obd with the gate bypass so your RAM experience will be elevated and you can program the vehicle to do all sorts of things and activate features that they're not previously activated from the factory

We are getting more Teslas and EVs in general here in AR, but it is a bit slower than other areas in its growth. Also, they put interstate highways in the flatest, most boring landscapes nationwide. The coast highways are the exception to the rule. Love the channel. Also, they added a $100 yearly renewal tax on EVs here to replace the road tax loss. Other states have higher renewal fees than AR, and EV adoption is still speeding forward.
I'm not sure how that $100 tax is making a difference either way, much less making EV adoption "speed along".
It's actually slowed. I figure it'll max out at 30 percent.

I couldn't/probably still can't afford the insurance + general inefficiency of a TRX... but the rebel has been without a doubt the most comfortable/best truck I've driven out of tons of 150s/1500s. Also my towing capacity is almost 5,000 lb more with a rebel etorque + 4corner vs. TRX absurdity + squishy prerunning suspension. It gets some flak but I really wouldn't discount the rebel its amazing.

I have a Ram Warlock, 6 cylinder. Bought it for the highway range. More than 700 miles per tank. ( gas ).
Same here! I have a Rebel and just cannot afford the hellcat tax for insurance and gas ⛽️ too. My Rebel gives me so many smiles per gallon tho
