- Welcome back to another video! Here we take the Vw Transporter T28 for a test drive. This was another great van to drive; simply, it goes like a VW golf with a higher seating position. It’s very agile and does not feel like a van. I can now understand why they maintain such high resale value.
Engine performance was pretty good. However, it would have been better with six gears rather than five. POV Stig rating 4.5-Stars! (out of 5)

Hello, a question, how does the 110BHP feel? is it strong enough? I live on an island and the 150BHP version has to wait a long time, and in my case it is to carry cargo. Not every day but it would be regularly.
it felt ok, but heres an idea. Maybe get the 110 and have the ECU mapped for more power and better Fuel economy
The 110 is desperately underpowered. Constantly up and down the gears to keep it moving. A remap would help, but then the 5 speed gearbox will ruin any economy
Do you know if it’s much quicker than the 102bhp T6, Thanks
Not sure as ive not driven that model. I doubt theres a big difference between them ,
Hi Mate, some people saying the 110bhp is a bit revvy/noisy on the motorway, did you find this?
Yes I think it needs 6 gears, because the engine is not relaxed at motor way speeds. So I agree with their comments
@Pov Stig I have the 110 as a work van and I agree I intend to get the 150 highline for my personal van
