    I hardly believe these changes have anything to do with "listening to guests and bringing new experiences" according to the feedback by passholders. I dont think any passholders asked for higher prices and less benefits😂. Ur videos are amazing, thx for all the hard work. Best wishes from Spain

  • @Luke_Go
    @Luke_Go ปีที่แล้ว +11

    I wonder to what guests Disney listened to.
    I'm 100% sure that no real Infinity passholder ever said "I want to pay €200 more, but I don't want most benefits."

      As an Infinity holder was disappointed at the lack of extra benefits. Privilege tickets are a great way to introduce family and friends to the Disneyland experience. By doing this people I know have gone back by themselves for further exploration. It’s short sighted of Disneyland not to see this opportunity

    • @lauramaguire5152
      @lauramaguire5152 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Totally agree with your statement. The new passes were a disappointment after the promises Disney made about listening to their customers. The passes are new but not improved ☹️

  • @danielhopeuk
    @danielhopeuk ปีที่แล้ว +9

    Thank you for your great explanation!
    I find it crazy that by charging €200 extra & taking away benefits (which cost them nothing), that DLP can’t see the money they’re going to be missing out on from Hotels, Merch, Food & Drink! 🤯 we spent thousands this year & were excited to renew again in November, however, now we’ve decided against it 😬

    • @themainstreetnews
      @themainstreetnews  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Thank YOU! From what I've seen, there's a lot of people saying they won't renew, especially non-locals, as we need to pay for hotel, flights and transportation on top of the pass. It's a little strange that, as you said, some perks have been taken out, but I guess they have the data?

    • @themainstreetnews
      @themainstreetnews  ปีที่แล้ว

      I agree, compared to the old AP's, these have less perks. The major thing these will offer is how you'll be able to go almost every single day with the new reservation system!

    • @wietj99
      @wietj99 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      That's true but without the privilege tickets it's sadly not worth it to me :(

      @@wietj99 It's no longer worth to me either. I don't even think my current Infinity pass is worth it after Aug. 1st.

  • @TheBrillOne

    It's like every time DLP makes progress in one area, they find a way to mess up another. I love my Discovery Pass. We never drive so the parking not being included was fine. Can't say that a 60 Euro hike for parking we wont use and an extra 20 days is likely to get us to renew. It's just not affordable for our budget anymore (which I guess is what they want).

    • @themainstreetnews
      @themainstreetnews  ปีที่แล้ว

      It's obviously different to each person, I personally feel like the 60€ increase is bad for the cheapest option, but a 200€ increase on the biggest one while having less perks is really bad. Unfortunately, it seems DLP doesn't really need AP's anymore...

    • @Curtains10101
      @Curtains10101 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I dunno about that... If this is a plan to increase income I think it'll backfire, as there will be lots who will refuse to buy now. And the money in restaurant, retail and hotels that all those AP regulars spent is gonna be lost. I don't think it will be more fruitful.
      Whoever crunched the numbers needs sacking

    thanks for the video! at one point you said that AP holders reservations would have pretty great capacity. im interested in purchasing the gold one, how was your experience in the past 5/6 month with reservation- were you able to be spontaneous, and how long in advance should special days/events (halloween Christmas ect) be reserved, by last years experience? thank you in advance

    • @themainstreetnews
      @themainstreetnews  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hey there! Personally, I still have an older Annual Pass and haven't bought the new ones, but I can speak on the experience of others. Last year almost no days were the parks full, the last one was on Christmas Day, so spontaneous trips are definitely much easier to do! I recommend you check this registration availability for the annual passes, if you do, you'll see that every date is green! register.disneylandparis.com/availability-calendar/?segments=ap
      I would recommend making reservations for more high season dates some weeks sooner, just to be sure!

    I'm looking to buy a DLP annual pass but want to know the essential Twitter/TH-cam accounts to follow to get updated info. I'm currently a Walt Disney World passholder and follow sites like WDWNT to get all my park info on passholder events, perks, new additions to the parks, etc. Is there anything like this (preferably in English) for DLP? The new Disneyland Passes don’t have the room discounts previously found in some of the older annual passes. The old passes should have this perk removed as well, BUT it seems this wasn’t the case so far, as I was able to use it. The room rates are always changing and depend on the day and the season, so I can only recommend you either check on the website (tickets + room), on a site like Booking.com (just room, no tickets), or by calling and checking all the options!

      That's one of the main questions surrounding the old passes. The answer? YES. You will be able to book privilege tickets until the end of your pass. Be careful as they can become sold out! Yesterday Disney opened the PT reservations from August to later this year, so make sure to book them!

    How many visits minimum would make a Annual Pass worth it im considering top tier Gold

    • @themainstreetnews
      @themainstreetnews  6 วันที่ผ่านมา

      It depends on many things like, would you take a car? Which hotels are you planning to stay in? The easy math is, it would take about 7 days of visit to get your money's worth out of tickets.

  • @You-mr3lo
    @You-mr3lo ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I think that competitors such as Efteling will be much busier if Disney maintains its policy. Disney invests only moderately in the park and innovation. Some attractions are really outdated. The prices are absurd and the quality of the food below average.

    • @themainstreetnews
      @themainstreetnews  ปีที่แล้ว

      Unfortunately for fans, but fortunately for Disney, they're the prime theme park destination in Europe. Many people visit several times and have no clue about other parks such as Efteling or even Europa Park. Also, Annual Passes are not the majority of visitors neither the ones Disney really prefers. Their target audience are the families that stay 3-4 days in a hotel, eat in the parks and buys a lot of merchandise...

    • @You-mr3lo
      @You-mr3lo ปีที่แล้ว

      @@themainstreetnews I prefer Efteling anyway when it comes to theming, food and value for money. Europapark comes 2nd for me and Disney only 3rd. Efteling not only invests in new attractions, but also modernizes older attractions. Without Disney "pampering" of fairy tales, Efteling knows how to portray the Fairy tale book beautifully for everyone.
      At Efteling restaurants and souvenirs are not glaringly present, but are neatly included in the theme and concealed.

    • @themainstreetnews
      @themainstreetnews  ปีที่แล้ว
