You can go to the T C Lindsey General Store in Jonesville, Texas. Awesome place full of history. Been open since 1847. They have memorabilia from the movie inside.
They cut out the most important part, the rebuilding of the barn that burned down and the auction of the food baskets. Noel’s change of heart about Ben doesn’t make sense without it.
@@p.kaarr9681 Thanks for you reply. You are probably right. The thing is, this isn't really a movie. It's a two part miniseries. They could have divided into two parts like other miniseries here on TH-cam have done and preserved the most important part of the story. It's the turning point for Noel and Ben. She learns that Ben was the one who had the idea to gather the community to rebuild the barn, that Ben's father is the one who burned the barn, and that Alan is gay. Those bits of information change her mind about all her assumptions. I hope that one day someone will post this in two segments and preserve the integrity of the story.
When I was young I did like very much this as 1965 tv series with Roy Thinnes, Nancy Malone and Edmond O'Brien. This film is also good, but every 2 minutes commercials make it hard to watch...
Not the "full" movie! The picnic scenes when they rebuild Armie's barn and Ben winning the picnic goods from Noel have sadly been cut out. Also part of the sand love scene was cut...
@@dckrn But Ben Quick was a very good person in character. Unfortunately, important scenes where it was obvious were illogically cut out just to shorten the time.
Johnson and Shephard are fine in this remake of the Paul Newman 1958 movie. But the rest of the cast and overly complicated script are third rate. You know it will be a cheap remake when the original tug/barge opening and great music are redone with an outboard and nondescript score.
This has always been one of my favorite movies of all time. The casting is a work of art.
Dans mon souvenir il y avait un pic nique, il la taquine parce qu'elle a enlevé la croûte du pain de mie...est-ce uniquement dans mon souvenir ?
@@decroissance9607they illogically cut 45 minutes of important scenes. These scenes are on TH-cam. Type the name of the movie into the search engine
You should see the original with Paul Newman and Joanne Woodward. Brilliant
@alexbuchholz7072 whats thé titre?
The Same. The long hot summer 1958
Don Johnson, YEAHHHHH!!!!
O,yes with Don..was so good even is better on big screen..Don so young and handsome..was so many versions ofLong hot summer..
This was a very good movie. I did think Noel would step up and give Ben an alibi. Lessons learned all the way around. Thanks for sharing this movie.
Xso miss watching good movies like this one. Really well acted and produced.
This is a great movie.
The original in 1958 is a total classic.
But the script changes and the acting in this 1985 version are so much better.
Yes I agree, loved this movie. Still watch it when it shows up.
unfortunately they ruined this movie when she cut 45 minutes of important scenes...it doesn't make any sense now
What do you mean?@@p.kaarr9681
@@deitraemory55 the original movie is more than 3 hours long. The missing 45 minutes can also be found on TH-cam
Love this oldie so good 👍 thank you ♥️

@@p.kaarr9681 Why cut it out in the first place? Though that is good to know.
@@story-powerpodcastbylucind4149 they probably wanted to shorten the film, but they devalued it

Alan was gay? Geez, they cut important storylines.
Great movie.. a highly recommended watch !

Great movie. But You-tube leaves out some crucial scenes.

This film is loaded with exceptional talent.
William Russ as "Jody"... So Sexy😅
Right up there with Don Johnson. He really turns up the heat.
Love this movie and Don Johnson omg what a frigging hottie!!
Passou aqui no Brasil nos anos 80. Série muito boa.
This version is way better than the original version however way in the world 🌎 would they cut the love scene out 😢😢😢😢!!!

Good movie but with the chunk missing a bit hard to know how things happened!
I want to find one that has the entire miniseries
Hola podrías poner subtitulos en español? Te lo agradecería mucho 🙏🙏🙏
It's missing the third segment - right after the bar burning. 😢
Not even in the same universe as Paul Newman..Joanne Woodward..Anthony Franciosa..Angela Lansbury..Orson Welles...Martin Ritt
Lee Remick
Why would this movier be remade? You couldn't get any better than Paul, Joanne and cast.
It was a TV miniseries

Great movie but this is not the full movie
Why is damn cut out.
Hi there! See if you can find Jason robards' Going Home (2000) thnks!
Love it
Love daddy, Quick and Cybil🎉
How can a woman in her right mind pick up a strange man?
Well, if he looks like Don Johnson...😂

if they didn't remove it 45 minutes of important scenes, you would understand
It’s not uncommon that good girls, even the smartest fall for a bad but charming boys ….opposites attract 😊

I think it should be in the title. it shouldn't have been the full movie.. it's not

The original movie with Paul Newman and his real life wife Joanne Woodward is far superior to this remake.
everyone has different tastes, for me this movie 1985 is much more interesting
