      It's completely random since the dropper just shoots a random disc out the 9 slots, you could try expanding the hoppers into a chest or something? I'd have to have a play around myself but some sort of external storage feed might help

    • @mcpeachpies
      @mcpeachpies  ปีที่แล้ว

      That can’t be anything to do with the redstone as the jukebox will only change its state when the song is finished playing, I have noticed a couple songs seem to end differently than I remember when playing on my server, I wonder if it is a client desync issue

      This is something I've really been meaning to play around with, I think if you rework the hoppers a bit you could add extra storage. I've also been playing around with adding other items into 4/5 slots of the top hopper feeding into the jukebox to stop discs getting stuck

    • @mcpeachpies
      @mcpeachpies  ปีที่แล้ว

      The only reason it wouldn’t go into the hopper below would be if the hopper wasn’t receiving power from somewhere, any other redstone sources nearby or is the lever in the wrong position?

    • @mcpeachpies

      Unfortunately that’s just how jukeboxes function, they have a limited range for the volume of the music that decreases the further you get and if a track is started when you’re not within range you won’t hear any music when you do get close until the next song starts

    • @mcpeachpies

      Clicking hoppers? You mean the dropper? Double check all your hoppers and observers are the right way around along with the solid and updating block the observers are checking. @mcpeachpies  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@squido_ Glad you've fix it for you, note that the observer is checking for a change in state of the hopper not the content of the discs. Essentially observer is triggered then the redstone/locked state of the hopper is power/unpowered by the jukebox playing a song. In that sense when the jukebox is done playing a song it will no longer output a redstone signal and unpower the hopper therefor changing its state and triggering the observer onto the dispenser
      I wonder if what you've encountered is if the bottom hopper is full, there will be nowhere for the music disc in the jukebox to go which might cause some problems with the state of the top hopper?
      I've found that it really works best if that bottom hopper doesn't get clogged up, could help to limit how many discs are in the system

    A problem with this design, its shuffle doesnt work correctly, it will shuffle the songs randomly but some will get stuck in the hoppers. The way they implemented it is really stupid. It would have been so cool if they had made it possible to read out the disc playback progress with a comparator, and a redstone signal to eject the current disc. That way you wouldn't have the hopper blocking and quasi connectivity issues at all... Could also skip a disc without manual ejection and picking it back up.
