When I was a mechanic at Air Wisconsin in 1977, we had a REAL "Snakes in the Plane." The plane, a Swearingen Metro, was running freight at night and a non-poisonous snake liberated itself from a damaged crate. As the Captain took off from O'Hare the snake poked it's head out from under the instrument panel. The Captain was afraid of snakes. When he got back to our maintenance base it was my job to pull the floor inspection panels to look for it. Never did.

Shorter Airline, Pelston Michigan , night mail in the early 70’s. Sault Ste Marie to Detroit with numerous stops in between. Twin Beech , 10 hours flight time 14 hours duty, 5 nights a week. Anyone remember? Paying our dues!

If u look at trade a plane add for a flying job, check with the local feds first about the 135 operator in question; save u alot of grief flying down to check them out.and if operator asks you to fill up your plane and they will re embers you later forget it!
