Thank you very much for this knowledge, but pls my question is exactly terminal in the Generator can I used for the auto starting and stopping of the generator when connecting my ATS
Gteat content ! However, I have one concern with the setup. What protection is there against the possible of either armature of the generator or main contactor becomes jammed ? I see that the interlocking NC and NO switches on contactors are for sensing the position of each contactor. Wouldn't a seizure of armature prevent the transfer ?
Hi, very informative video. Please answer me on this, that power coming supplying the generator control breaker, is it DC or AC because you said all the relays are DC
When you connect remote start to the nc of the main relay assuming you switch off all the main breakers that is gen and the main, still the gen will start automatically not so?
Amazing video... thank you for the content.. can you please make for us a video on generator maintenance (fuel & oil filter, changing oil, & more) am interested to learn the most common brands, CAt, perkins, etc
Your video made me understand the auto ON/OFF but please can you drop the link to the video of how to connect the signal cable to the generator? Thank you!
thanks for all the teaching my question is how do i know that a contact is closed to another on a main relay contacts, how and when do i loop. I would like to know the procedure
Sir, how do you hook up the selector switch in this panel, so that it may be possible to select between automatic and manual, as well as hooking up pilot lamps to indicate when main available and on load, as well as on the generator side
Great job 👍, kindly pardon me on these two areas, how to connect single phase and three phase on phase monitor, how to do mechanical interlocking in two contactors
When using three phase- Just connect all the three phases to phase failure L1 L2 L3 and the neutral When using single phase- connect live wire to P and then you bridge or short or loop P to any of the three phase terminal, it can be P- L1,P -L3 or P-L2. and of coarse the neutral. With mechanical interlock the 2 contactors must be a like in all feature for it to lock mechanically. deferent type of brands lock differently. watch this video th-cam.com/video/x6HpYWZZRZU/w-d-xo.html
Nice video sir, sir in deep sea controller a starter motor to cranking what relay use it, i see inside panel they have 8pin relay and 4 pin, i hope you give some idea, thanks

Please sir I have a serious question. When the mains goes out, relay contacts closes, the Gen starts cranking. Wouldn't the Gen continues cranking since the signal cable remains shorted?
Let me try to answer that.. When the mains comes back, the main relay lever changes position from NC to NO. In that case the generator cable is not short-circuited since the new position is open(NO)

What if the generator has a chole that you have to pull while starting and push back after it has started?
All self start generators(petrol engines) have automatic chock.
