We have a solid football team and if they can play well on both sides of the line of scrimmage, like they did this past Saturday, then they could make a run at the Natty. Let's not forget the old adage...Defense wins championships! We have a really good defense. Go Vols!
100%. We shouldn't be here. Heupel brought us out of the dredges and made us relevant again. So any idiot fans who gripe just because we don't win a natty in next few years need to be aware of *why* we have such lofty expectations (it's Heupel). So many Vol fans have way too high of expectations, so I hope ppl temper it and just let Heupel work, because he WILL bring a Natty here if given enough time.
I'm just happy we made the playoffs. This has been a wildly successful season regardless of what happens now. I hope Vol fans have realistic expectations and don't set the bar impossibly high. Heupel is the best coach we're going to get, period, so don't screw this up.

I mean come on!.....I think we should be going to the SEC championship game, not Georgia!!! Who lost to Alabama, Georgia did!..We beat Alabama and Vandy and Florida but to throw shade our way is totally unacceptable and to me, should be held accountable for their obvious bias within the ESPN and SEC sports news!...Loved the show and BTW... You have a great narration voice/sports commentator voice and have great incite. Keep up the good work man!
Tn probably won’t make it far because the head of the Playoff Committee is the athletic director at Michigan. He will make sure to put Tn against Ohio State in Columbus, Tn against Georgia in Athens. If they win then Tn will have to play Oregon. Look at who Notre Dame, Byu and those guys will play.
Vandy was scary. They upset a good team and were close in several high ranking games. They were primed to upset us. That 0-14 5 minutes was a uphill start in the game.
Their Defense is an X factor. They are the most clutch Defense I've ever watched in 54 years. I remember some good NFL defenses from the past but I think for College this D is better. THey are better than 84 vols and better than 97 vols. Their ability to create turnovers has been incredible to watch, mix in safetys and Tackles for Loss and I can't remember a Defense this consistently good. Even that big loss to GA was exagerated by the pressing offense in the 4th quarter. Many of the scores the Defense gave up were the fault of the offense, and magically they saved many of those with key stops and turnovers.
I was struck by the statement "Head Coach can't run to the Transfer Portal Store and microwave an Offensive Line; that's something that needs to marinate a while." Interesting. What are the nuances involved in a competent OL? Thanks for your response in advance.
Interesting names on the carousel, this far. What's your opinion on Tim Banks, the DC at Tennessee, formerly DC at Penn St. Two main questions: Where does he rank on the list of available names? What program openings do you think would be a good fit for him?
Depends on which team shows up! They can’t get behind early against a good team, and must be more discipline on both sides of the line of scrimmage. They can’t just rely on the big play down field.
Just gonna say it, I like our odds if we go against Ohio State first round, especially at Neyland. They’re a fantastic team but I believe we could give Will Howard hell. Getting ahead of myself though! Don’t even know who we’re gonna play

It's hard to win a championship with a freshman QB. Only one has done it and that was Treavor Lawrence in 2018-2019 season at Clemson. Like to see them make a good run at it but getting 3 wins in a row against this competition is going to be tough and they won't get a first round bye because of the automatic byes. The loser of Penn State and Oregon probably won't slip behind Tennesse unless it is an ugly blowout. It is really going to come down to injuries in my mind. If they can get and stay healthy, they have a shot. Samson is looking a little beat up right now to me especially after the last couple games. Lewis went out at Vandy, so Samson's backups are thin, and we have two potent weapons out as receivers. They need to get healthy.

Tennessee is capable of winning it all. They are also capable of not scoring in the 1st half of the game and losing the 1st round. If the committee does the right thing and puts Ohio State one spot behind Tennessee, i feel good about Tennessee handling OSU. If they have to play in Columbus, i still feel like Tennessee can win. Just not as confident about it. OSU has a God awful record historically against SEC teams in post season games. I believe they are 2-13 in bowl games against SEC teams.

Anytime TN does anything good alot of media change direction on them they are a dangerous team in the playoffs
