I just got my off-ice skates and I decided to 'skate' at home on my wooden flooring. Even though there's not much space, I feel safer than on concrete, especially as a beginner who just got reintroduced to skating the last winter.
OMG how are your floor? I'd be worried about damaging them! does it leave a mark at all? But i totally get why that would feel safer! Good luck with your skating x
@@SuperSymo it's a hardwood floor and I haven't noticed any marks (thank God!). What I wouldn't use without protection for the floor is the Edea spinner. The grooves could really do damage.
Thank you for sharing your very nice inline figure skating! :-)
Glad you enjoyed it 🎉
Hi ..,Thankyou for talking about skating out doors .. I’ve never ice skated.. but I wanted to find some blades for outdoors on concrete .. would recommend off ice ?? Or are you only wearing them because U skates on ice .. before ??
Yes I’d recommend them but they mimic ice skates very closely
You're doing amazing! I got my off ice skates a few days ago and only managed some basic moves... I need to find a better place to skate tbh
ahh thank you so much
I’m waiting on my skates so excited I’m in Northern Ireland and stopped skating when I was 20 I’m now 37 🤣🤣🤣🤣did a few competitions in Scotland back in the day. I am aiming for three jump , spin and backward skating . I guess it’s all about finding perfect surface
Feel you.. I stopped skating in 2007.
In a scale from 0 to 10 how much is it different from ice skating? I'd like to be good at figure skating some day but my nearest rink is open for just a few months and idk if I can learn the same things off ice... I have to make a decision, either skating or hip hop dancing... My main goal is to be able to do a choreography of some sort...(also, my mother says that I won't learn the same things, like they won't teach me jumps etc with inline skates)
Hey whereabouts in Scotland are you from? I’m from Glasgow and am struggling to find anywhere to skate xx
I'm in rural USA, and it can be hard to find places to skate out here, too. I'd suggest going to playgrounds, the newer the better. They often have smooth places like basketball or tennis courts. Not sure if Scotland has the same sort of playgrounds that we have, but I hope you find some smooth concrete!
I grew up on roller skating freestyle, and I also have the snow white Inline, with that said. Ice-skaters have always poo pooed roller skating, funny how they are flocking to it know and it's harder than Ice-skating, watch the roller skating nationals, most roller skaters can ice skate and do there jumps in 20 minutes, and good roller skaters won't do there jumps out side to dangerous brakes tail bone and your done , find a roller rink to skate inn.
I hope you also wear something to protect your arms and hands while practicing the jumps. It looks so painful to have bruises from the concrete. :(
wrist guards stop Fractures and let's you have confidence
Totally agree! More and more protection is great!!
