I love how their outfits were really unique. I don't see people dress that expressively where I live. People usually just wear very basic, normal clothes or try to wear name-brand stuff, which is totally fine. But I really enjoyed seeing people wear different, unique styles. They all looked so good! :)
that's because they're fashion students. I love Mikan's video, but I don't think it really portrays how Japanese young people really dress. if you go anywhere outside of the main Tokyo regions you'll see they all have a similar style.
The world needs more fashion dads!! My dad wanted to try fashion design but my grandpa said it wasn’t manly enough and strongly discouraged him. He’s now been laid off three times working in oil and gas like my grandpa wanted him to. Please follow your dreams!! My dad has always had great fashion sense and always picked out clothes for me. He’s also naturally very talented at drawing so he could have made it happen. I wish my dad followed his dreams so badly.
I love how all the people featured in this video have completely different styles but they seem to feel confident in what they wear. It seems like differences are encouraged. The college seems pretty inclusive.
So true. I graduated from a art school in may and I miss it because I was never scared to wear anything because it was totally normal but now having a full time job in the city, I get alittle nervous to wear what I used to
This reminds my of my school. I'm an art school student. Everyone has a unique style on my school. When we go outside of our school people always look at us like w*f are you guys wearing. But I don't care I like it to be creative and to dress up my own way. Greetings from Belgium ❤️❤️
So i do appreciate this type of videos. But what you did with the music selection an edition it's amazing it's a small detail but the fact the music change depending the person it's stunning cause you do a really good job blending different music style that have concordance with the style of the person
That video made me genuinely happy, they were all so adorable and their outfits were pretty interesting, I liked Nagisa's Outfit the most since it's something I'd wear myself, but each outfit was very inspiring in their own way and I loved how much depth they put into their style of clothing and the stories they told, it was very heart-warming
I love how the outfits aren't just jeans and a shirt. While there's nothing wrong with that, where I live everyone wears the same shoes, same pants, and identical shirts. I would love to be in an environment where everyone truly expresses themselves through fashion.
I LOVE videos like this! It’s so interesting to see different Japanese styles and everyone’s take on fashion. No one is the same and that’s so cool to me!
I usually find your videos really entertaining, but this one is particularly interesting!! All the stories were really inspiring!! Thank you for creating this
I love how these students can really express themselves, where i live its literally just kathmandu puffer jacket, trackies, white sneakers and airpods LOL
Love the fact that you introduced friends/students who's style is very different from another. It's so cool to see their unique style. Love it❣ This is why I want to go to Japan.
I love everyone's unique style! I'm in California and I know once people see how people dress unique it considered "weird." Its honesty so cool to see what fashion students in Japan wear.
So impressed by how they choose their outfits from being inspired by colorful pictures to ladybird philosophy to not wanting to look structured... Here I am each morning grabbing whatever that takes least energy to put on.
I binged watched your videos today because I was stuck in the hospital lol, and I swear, you went from 170k to 171k in a day! MIKAN NEEDS TO BE RECOGNIZED PEOPLE! I SWEAR Mikan, you're the most relatable youtuber to exist and you inspire me so much. I know that I can't be a doctor in Japan (cuz you have to do medical in Japanese lol) but I'll find a way. You inspire me so much sis. My mom and I love you. (I'm from Pakistan by the way, and my mum and I support you!! We think that your whole journey has been inspiring. Hang in there sis and live your best life.)
The very first outfit with the striped shirt & purple skirt, and then the vintage white dress were my favorites! But I have to be honest that I did like seeing everyone’s style and they all looked great on them, even if it was simple.
I love bold styles like Noe and Saki’s, I think it really makes them outstand and be very unique. On a side note, I thought Noe was older? Like 23-ish? Lol. And on another side note: the other day I discovered that I like bright orange + bright blue combinations while I was taking selfies lol (my nails are bright blue and I was wearing orange makeup, that’s how I figured it out), so I reaaaaaally liked today’s (that day’s?????) Noe’s outfit. 🧡💙 I’m about to follow your friends on IG so my feed can be stylish and bright. ❤️
Great video, Mikan~ I really enjoyed it. I literally have no fashion sense, but it was so interesting to see how diverse everyone's styles are there. Especially how you had them explain their style and outfit choices, and what inspired them--I'm feeling inspired myself!
This is really interesting but... well, being a fashion college, these are the most fashion forward(?) people in probably all of Tokyo! So more what extremely fashionable Japanese students really wear? To me (a total otaku) this is like seeing something from an Ai Yazawa story, it's really cool!

U are on ur way to be the biggest Jvlogger EVER. Not only did u blend in well, ur vlogs are not always about urself but also the Japanese around u. Very unique concept. Keep it up!
i go to a fashion school in LA and people don't dress nearly as uniquely! it's very refreshing to see your classmates expressing themselves with their different styles! going to bunka must be a very unique experience, i'm so curious about how different it might be from my own school. thanks for sharing!
Woaaah I love all their unique styles. Where I live a lot of people just follow the trend so they won’t stick out. I used to be like that as well, but after starting an art course at high school I became more confident wearing whatever I feel like. I love how we get to express ourselves more here without getting judged. Still not at the same level as Japan of course, but it’s a beginning 😂

My favorite outfit combination is from Taimu Asaoka: I love the red long sleeve with the net and specially the torn jeans. It gives such a cool, rock look, love it!!!
This was such an inspirational video!! This is coming from someone that's too anxious about others opinions and comments to wear anything other than basic pieces. I really feel like going outside my comfort zone and push myself a little. These guys had such cool outfits and silhouettes, U felt inspired by all of them even though not all of them were my style.
