    For cabinets I am using an actual casing family that is controlled similar to your line family... has the advantage that when you want to put shadows on a plan you will have shadows, also in sections you have some volume. For kitchens I am using a more complex one containing kickboard, worktop and the upper casings, but the principle is the same, instance parameter for length. Keep up the good work!

    A great way to use coarse fill is to override detail level of categories in visibility/graphic settings - that way your walls can be on coarse, whilst everything else is on fine!

    Quick question, why don't you just choose the section in the normal 3d view (orient to section) and switch it to perspective view ?

      Try changing your detail setting to "fine" instead of "coarse."
