You have obviously studied the '45 more closely than I, and i respect your opinion.

I don't think that's correct, most of them were Highlanders at other battles; Prestonpans, for example. I get your point though, I agree, it is painted too much as a black and white conflict between England and Scotland, when that was not the case.
The thing that is important to note is that it was perceived by many on the Jacobite and Hannoverian side as exactly that, the Army was considered a Scottish Army, it flew Scottish Flags, it was assembled almost exactly along the lines of the pre-union Scottish army. why do people think all jacobites where from the highlands and that they were an unorganised rabble of highlanders carrying swords. A large percentage were actually from england and ireland and the ones from scotland were from the lowlands, most of the highlanders did not join bonnie prince charlie. It was only at culloden that most of the soliders were highlanders and carried swords and axes.( I love the highlands and its people and traditions and i admire the highlanders courage).
I;ve got this mod and really like it tho could do with more Scottish Jacobite units and leaders.. took a while to get it all started I know people have a lot of problems putting mods on and I'm one of them but over trial and error am able to fix most things so far... my funny pain with the mod is that all armys play the bag pipes in battle! lol so if I play the brits..they play the bagpipes when marching.. if I play spain they also play the frigging bagpipes lol so I'm wondering if I remove a patch I'm just not sure which...any ideas?

@yougonasorry Different faces worked out so well in M2TW. I have no idea why they didnt do the same in ETW. It gave the game a sense or realism that RTW lacked and I think that is why a lot of gamers didnt like ETW. The game is good if you can get passed the bad bits

Sorry don't agree.. Before Culloden there were decisive victorys at Prestonpans and falkirk to name in a very short time months before Culloden. The Jacobite command and fighters were very efficiant and all this happened fast. The king was very worried as most of the troops from the Crown were fighting in Flaunders the americas etc and other parts of the realm.. there were only around 3000 gov troops in the uk at the time(aprox i believe) The french were very supportive in Charlies cause and sent weapons and men.. but not enough as some were intercepted and other ships unable to make it over. When the jacobite army marched through England unchallenged to derby only then they decided the fateful retreat back north where at culloden there were met by cumberland troops with superior numbers energy and artillary also having the upper hand on battle land. it's a very interesting history you should give it a read. I recommend Culloden Tales is a a good read with facts and personal strories of the time.
