Wow!!! I have just come across you for the first time!! I am blown away by this video! I've learned more in this one video than I have watching a dozen others claiming to teach the same thing. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! *Subscribed🎉
I have watched so many different videos on how to do just this and was totally confused. You HELPED so much.. Thank you so much for clearer instructions. I'm excited to start my digital download journey.. Thank you.
On the right hand side at the top in Canva you will have a share button click that and it should be visible if not go to the three dots that say more and it will be visable :) Hope that helps
Ty for this video. How could i create an actual master resell rights and plr product using canva? Pls can you answer this question. I cant find this info anywhere.
Thank you so much Beautiful! I've bee been looking around for answer regarding whether I should choose 'only me can access' or 'share with anyone with the link', thanks a lot!!
I want to thank you so much for creating this video! It's the most direct and quick easy to understand vid on this process I've come across! I'm happy to have come across it! Just curious where you're from - It is a unique accent!👌🏾
Hi Jessa, thank you for this. How do you post this on etsy? As another template? How do you do so your customers receive this template in their emails automatically or is this something that you need to send to them manually?
Step 1: you have to finish your product Step 2: Go to share > create template link > copy the template link Step 3: Create an instruction on Canva > paste the template link > download as "PDF standard"
thank you for this tutorial i am starting my etsy business can you do more of these kind of video i wanted to see if it works with adobe photoshop templates too ?
Hi Jessa! I love your videos and just became a member of the template creator society. I have a question about linking. In my Canva it says video only link. Where is the whole file link button? for me to share with my customer?
Jessa, thank you so much. This is what I was looking for. I wanted to sell my journals on Etsy but was sure how people can get a link of it so that they can write in it. I’m really grateful for this video. By any chance, do you know how to create the link so that they can receive it through their Google drive?
I'm glad the video was helpful! To sell your journals on Etsy and provide a link for buyers to write in them, you can use Google Drive. Here's how to do it: Create Your Journal in Google Docs or Google Slides: Design your journal in Google Docs or Google Slides, whichever suits your needs. Share the Document: Click on the "Share" button in the top-right corner. Under "Get Link," change the settings to "Anyone with the link" and set it to "Viewer" or "Editor" depending on whether you want them to edit or just view the document. Copy the Shareable Link: Click "Copy link" to copy the shareable link. Deliver the Link to Buyers: After a purchase on Etsy, send the Google Drive link to the buyer via Etsy messaging or include it in a PDF file that they can download.
Thank you for the well-explained video. Where do you find the link icon to insert the link on your work on the instruction page? Is this for pro users only?
Thank you for your insights. Question, I want to sell a digital product through my Canva website. I understand it currently does not have this option. I can set up a stripe account and create a link to put into a button the on the canva page, however, where I am stuck is once the customer has paid for the PDF in stripe how do they download the PDF?? Ideally, the minute they pay there is a download option OR the PDF is automatically emailed to them. I read you can link stripe and google drive together, however, I cannot seem to make this work, then someone highlighted using an integrator / binder like 'Pabbly connect'. Do you have any insights and simple to follow steps here please? I am not a developer. Thank you, Gary (UK)
Hi… do you think these niches still work in 2023? Also to niche down like your example for mental health social media templates, do you recommend different stores?
Hi! Im really new to this and haven't even uploaded my first design on Etsy yet. I was just wondering when you make your first sale (hopefully I do) how do you send the link to the customer? Do you email them or how does it work? I want to sell printables AND editable invitations etc. Thank you so much!
hello, thank you for making this video. What if you want to sell multiple items, like multiple templates and put them into your Stan Store? Like if I offered 15 Templates for XX amount of dollars in 1 purchase. How does that work? Do you have a video on that?
Just so I’m aware and this is a great tutorial by the way. When I choose the template link they are able to go in and edit on their own right?? I’m making invitation templates so I want them to edit for sure
Hi Jess. Thanks so much for your amazing tutorials. I have used it to set up an Etsy shop with templates but my 1st customer couldn't access the link unless I invited her to my team! Any idea what i did wrong? Thanks so much!
Hi Jessa! When a customer purchases a template for Canva, are they able to then use your designs and design elements to create other things? Basically - in apps like Corjl, the user function is extremely limited to just editing the template that you purchased, and only making designs within the purchased template. With Canva, would the customer have freedom to basically copy design elements from the template and use them in their own designs/things you didn't designate the sale was for? (ex: someone buys a save the date template, but then uses the design elements to start making other invites, or other types of goods to potentially sell with your design). I hope that makes sense!
You could flatten and lock images but while Canva provides significant creative freedom, this also means that customers can potentially use design elements beyond the scope of the original template .To protect your designs, clearly state your usage terms and educate your customers on proper use. However, enforcement can be challenging due to the flexibility and tracking of it.
Hi there’s I went about your steps and shared one of my designs. The recipient was able to login via Google and into my design and edit my original design as I left it. I thought you said not to worry they couldn’t access it 😣🤔 any steps I might have missed pls?! Thanks u
Hi Jessa, SW/Armory member here. I've made my affirmations cards but I want to sell them as a finished product, rather than a Canva template. Could you please advise how I would lay them out in Canva so that they're ready for a customer to print off, so 6 cards per page for example?
Hi Jessa, so I created an Etsy listing and used the template link in my PDF, however I noticed it edited my original file…is there something I did wrong?
Question for you - I have a pro Canva account and have been selling templates on Etsy like what you have described here. Twice now, the customer opens the template and when they try to download the file it tells them they have to purchase the pro elements used, or get a pro account to download it. I know this is not actually the case, and Canva has told me "it's a glitch" and that the purchaser should have no issues with watermarking using their free account. Has this happened to you at all?! It makes ME look bad, not Canva, and then I end up with the problems. So far the solution has been "wait a few hours and try the link again"... horrible experience for the customer. :(
This can be a frustrating experience, especially when you’re trying to maintain a smooth process for your customers. I’ve seen other Canva sellers report similar issues where free account users are incorrectly prompted to purchase Pro elements due to what Canva describes as a "glitch." Just double check the template is free-elements only, sometimes a small detail might slip in. You can try revisiting the template, ensuring everything is from the free library, and updating the template link. If this happens frequently maybe adding a brief note in your product descriptions or customer communications, explaining that in rare cases, this glitch may occur.
at 5:11 minutes you show the pag ethat the customer gets with "USE TEMPLATE" button at the bottom. What i get is "Use Template for a new design" What have I done wrong?? Have watched so many videos
Thanks Jessa, I love your tutorials!! I was told by someone that you need Canva pro to be able to download/share a template link like you show us here, is that the case? Does that option exist in the free version?
Hi Jessa, I want to ask you ..... after you share the template link, and download it to PDF File, how do you set the collaboration link : Only you can access or Anyone with the link?
Hi Jessa, Can I just copied the link instead of creating 'Download here'? My Canva shows live template link, so when I copied and paste, it will show the picture of the template link that customer can click on the pic, and download the template from there
You would start an Etsy store and sell it on there :) the price I would recommend is middle of the range once you do your competitors research so in this case around $10.
Hi Jessa, Sorry I have limited knowledge of Canva, but how can we be sure the template link we shared aren't being reshared by the customer that has access to the template using the share button.
The template link allows you to share a design template with others so they can use it as a starting point for their own creations. When someone clicks on the template link, they can edit the design without affecting the original template. A Pdf can be shared but not edited.
In order to share a Canva template with someone you need to grab the template link which you can find under the share button in the top right of your Canva screen

I'm glad the video was helpful! To sell your journals on Etsy and provide a link for buyers to write in them, you can use Google Drive. Here's how to do it:
Create Your Journal in Google Docs or Google Slides:
Design your journal in Google Docs or Google Slides, whichever suits your needs.

Copy the Shareable Link:
Click "Copy link" to copy the shareable link.
Deliver the Link to Buyers:
After a purchase on Etsy, send the Google Drive link to the buyer via Etsy messaging or include it in a PDF file that they can download.

Hey there,
Great question!
The free version enables you to download/share and create template links.
I hope that helps.
i love it
Glad you enjoyed it 😄
Great video, thanks for making it!
is this link the same as a URL?
No, if its in canva the template link is on the share/download menu. Any other links can give people access to edit the original file.
i have followed everything here but there is no link button to transfer download over? where do i find that
Thank you so much for a great video. I have a question - Can you send a link that the customer can not edit? And if so - how?
You would just send them a pdf if it doesn't need to be editable :)
Hello thank you my question is does the customer need a Canva account to access the link?
Yes they do 😄 but they can just use the free version
Hi, just wanted to know, when a customer makes changes to the template and the next customer purchases will those edits be on that template?
No you just need to make sure you share the Template link and not the original link.
Thank you, if I use canvo pro and the customer doesn’t have canva pro how should they edit and download template without watermarks?
Do I have to buy Canva Pro for this?
Hi Jessa, I want to ask you ..... after you share the template link, and download it to PDF File, how do you set the collaboration link : Only you can access or Anyone with the link?
You don't touch the collaboration link, only the template link :-)
@@ThatJessaB Thank you ! Just got message from my customer, she can't open the link .... Is this common?
My template link has the option to edit my actual template?
Would I use the View-only link if im selling a printable digital product and not a template?
You would just make it a Pdf then as it wouldn't need to be edited.
Hi Jessa, Can I just copied the link instead of creating 'Download here'? My Canva shows live template link, so when I copied and paste, it will show the picture of the template link that customer can click on the pic, and download the template from there
Unfortunately you can't add a link to Etsy if that is where you are selling, on Etsy it needs to be a document with a clickable link inside.
@@ThatJessaB I create a pdf file with a clickable link (template link)
Is this only for selling on Etsy? How can I sell my printables on my own site?
How we’ll earn money with this?? Like no price tag nothing?
yeah..the most important part..
I had the same question.
Is the template link unique or will someone else also be able to access if the pdf was shared with another person?
The template link allows you to share a design template with others so they can use it as a starting point for their own creations. When someone clicks on the template link, they can edit the design without affecting the original template. A Pdf can be shared but not edited.
how do you upload it all to etsy after you are done?
How do I make it so that it doesn’t say edit link after everything is done for them to open it?
In order to share a Canva template with someone you need to grab the template link which you can find under the share button in the top right of your Canva screen
