The Quran is the revelation of Allah, swt. The Messenger (S) gave Allah's message to people, carrying out his mission set from Allah swt.

Trading 50 dates in better condition for 50 in worse condition is an unequal exchange. It should be haram to exchange 50 for 50 if they are of unequal quality because you would could be inflating the value of the dates. If I exchange an ounce of gold for an “ounce of gold” of which half is another metal, it is no longer an equal exchange. It would no longer be an ounce of gold for an ounce of gold. This is bad logic
Listen this carefuly again. As it is difficult to find how much quality difference is in same kind of commodity exchange so it is better to sell 1st kind and with that money buy the 2nd one to avoid any chances of Riba.

I think copper is like iron. There is too much of it. And therefore it doesn't have the kind of value of gold and silver.
