I make a 1.25 slit into the side of an empty toilet roll and wind on my binding and then slip the roll into my machine's knee lifter just before I slot it into my machine. Binding rolls off the tube and then flows under the needle - easy peasy 😎
I just lost 8 blocks of Tula's Butterfly and had to re-make them - will probably find them once I finished the quilt. Your video was timely with honesty - thank you Pat.
LOL Pat, I'm having too much fun and need more time to sew also! Your Fruitcake quilt will be so cute. I like how you're using the same center and the same background in all blocks--great tip!
I love your opening screen every day.. so cheery! I am so glad I am not the only one who finds beautiful fabrics and buys them twice…we just need to live forever so we can get it all done!
Thank you Pat for sharing your friends quilt book. It's so helpful to see the whole book to decide if this book is for me? And I loved it, also loved that she shared the different color ways, for those of us who might still be stuck on just our favorite dark & bright colors, not being brave enough to branch out to try other color ways. Love your teaching & sharing, God bless!
Great visit with you Miss Pat! So much fun. Now I need to make that same pattern with the fat eighth. I have several as they are more affordable. Your evergreen is very pretty!
WOW 🎉 you get sew much DONE ✅ I know you say it’s because it’s your business… I’m still impressed… THANKS for sharing your projects and process with us 😊
I just lost 8 blocks of Tula's Butterfly and had to re-make them 😬 - will probably find them once I finished the quilt. Your video was timely with honesty - thank you Pat.
Cheryl Brickey did a trunk show video from this book. I loved it right off the bat and already bought a copy! It's a great book. I am loving the Evergreen Mystery. Nice, easy blocks to break up some of the more difficult projects I am working on. Yours is going to be so pretty!
Morning! Love a good fruitcake & this one looks delicious! LOL, no mixing or baking required. Christmas quilt is going to be very nice; if I could get away with it, it would be our Christmas tree this year but grandchildren won't stand for it. Fantastic visit, Pat Sloan, catch you online next time😊
I found that if i roll up my binding & put in a small zip lock bag i can just pull out what i need & the rest won't come un-rolled & to everywhere. It just keeps it contained. But, i wanna try the toilet paper roll method on her knee lifter that someone else mentioned... interesting idea.
I do the same thing about loosing things and ordering more. I love that Portsmouth!! It will be lovely and you can pick more fabric squares that you like. Thanks for brightening my day.
Can you tell us where you got the taller stash n store I see on your cutting table? I feel you about buying things you already have. I’ve purchased the same pattern or book a few times. Good thing I have quilty friends to gift the extras to. 😂
Thank you, Pat, for this fun session. I love your friend's book. I am, however, always suspicious when someone says, "You only need 2 charm packs." These quilts look like I also need a couple of yards of background fabric. 😄
Dumb question...on your Fruitcake quilt, if you're making it 4 wide by 6 tall, won't you need 24 prints (unless you're duplicating). You said you only needed "19 more"... Wouldn't you actually need 23 F8's? Just curious.

Thank you for showing us how to preview the fabric. That is so hard for me because I often use my own fabric instead of a kit!

I am so glad you use your own fabric! Who wants a copy cat quilt kit that thousands are recreating. Be your own creative artist.☺
😮WOOOOOOOW! That is a FANTASTIC idea!!👍😉
So happy I’m not the only, person who misplaces fabrics! Connie

Thank you, Ms. Pat, for that tip, about rolling the binding that way!! I will try that the next time!!

OHhh, Evergreen is looking so very good! Thank you.

I love a line that comes with low volume!

Thanks for showing where you set your binding when you are attaching it.
Abby and Katie, my two oldest granddaughters!! What a cute name for a quilt……love it!

THAT is sooooo CLEVER!!
And I was thinking 🤔 about they can store flat in my plastic project containers and/or drawers!
Love your top. Pretty colours.
I love how your Evergreen is looking!!! Thanks for always having such great videos!
Great video!!! You look really good in that white top!!❤
I think the pattern Process Flow would make great borders☺️
I do the same thing about loosing things and ordering more. I love that Portsmouth!! It will be lovely and you can pick more fabric squares that you like. Thanks for brightening my day.
Hello all!
Hi Pat! I love the popcorn on the row!!
I put my binding in one of the legs of the sewing machine extension table. Works great!!!
Great minds think alike. I’ve used this trick for quite awhile. 😊
DOESN'T she??? I WANT that much
⚡️⚡️energy!!⚡️⚡️
Sooooo many exciting things today❤❤❤
I got that Jolly bar and am almost finished with the quilt. I love the colors and the design!
The fruit on the fabric is papaya - black seeds. (Persimmon is apple shaped & papaya is sort of pear shaped - oblong.)
Pat Sloan I love your next quilt to give away. I've never made a log cabin quilt. I sure do love that one!
This evergreen quilt is very popular
Ohh that backing fabric. Beautiful.
My daughter's name is Betty. I'm going to make the Betty quilt of course😊
I need to remember to write down what I order and the intended used of the fabric, I open my order and think - why did I order this...?
Pat, that is a Papaya not a pear. It has the little black seeds in the center 😊
Can you tell us where you got the taller stash n store I see on your cutting table?
I feel you about buying things you already have. I’ve purchased the same pattern or book a few times. Good thing I have quilty friends to gift the extras to. 😂
That stash and store was in a box from fat quarter shop, may have been the jolly box but I am not sure.
Thank you, Pat, for this fun session. I love your friend's book. I am, however, always suspicious when someone says, "You only need 2 charm packs." These quilts look like I also need a couple of yards of background fabric. 😄
Always 😂
Fabulous book nook today! I love it!
I LOVE your shirt today!!! Where did you find that?!?! So fun!!!
❤🦩🦩🦩🦩❤
You can't have it, it's MINE!
😂🤣😅🤣😂
I got it a few years ago, I forget where
Hi everyone ❤ 0:00
Did you coordinate that fruitcake block with your top? 😉
Love the pastel color choice!
thanks!
Week 2 is not up on the far quarter shop website
I found it yesterday
You said you need 20 blocks for the fruitcake but 6x4 is 24 blocks.
I caught that, too.
Love your videos. Trying to find the Fruitcake pattern. Can you please let me know where I can find it. Thanks so much
it is listed under the videos... here it is again ::FREE Fat Eighth Quilt Patterns, Fruitcake shrsl.com/422id

4 x 5 is 20
@@PatSloan Apparently I heard her say what size she was making incorrectly... I heard 4 by 6. Honest mistake!
👍❤️😊
i always enjoy your videos. This video was on the dark side. Just wanted you to know.
They look like papayas not pears.
Not pears or persimmons, they're pears.
❤️🦩🦩🦩🦩❤️
Okay. I would be SO GLAD if you shipped me your flamingo🦩 shirt you're wearing today when you hit 100k!😂😂 I'm absolutely crazy🤪about it! 😅
