    From a songwriting and proud rhythm player. This is a great channel for the rhythm guys. Stand up and be counted, dudes!

    I have one and I’ve not encountered a better crafted or better playing instrument. This thing is amazing. It may be the perfect rock rhythm guitar.

    I swear this guitar, except in the sparkle red w/gold hardware is calling my name. There was a used one at the local guitar shop, and I picked it up and it was like the guitar and I instantly bonded. I'm not sure how I'm going to come up with the cash for it, but I'm convinced now that I'll have a sparkle Jet, if not the exact one I saw.

    Gretch guitars have a roundness, clarity and sparkle that's so unique. The Japanese Gretch models are just so beautifully assembled, just a joy to play. I love a Les Paul, but the duo jet with 'trons is just so different. Add a Bigsby and I'm in heaven.

      you are absolutely correct across the board here. that said, i love me some hardtail, but that's neither here nor there. thanks for the insight!

    Seems as though every time you do a guitar demo it ends up on my wishlist. Between this, the tele custom and the AM Pro II Strat I’ve got a lot of saving to do.

    Our local shop recently became a Gretsch Dealer, and I just fell in lust with one of their electromatic center block guitars with broadtrons and a bigsby. The neck pickup has that clarity and weight you talk about, makes my other humbucker guitars sound like mush. I snagged that guitar for $700 ASAP to keep myself from picking up one of their players series for even more $$$

    • @DemosInTheDark
      @DemosInTheDark  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      electromatic is a solid line! that’s definitely a way to beat the system IMO. you have excellent taste!

    What's the main difference between this one and the one that's only like $500 or so? Is it in the woods or the pickups or what? They both are awesome looking but I'm just curious what the difference is in them? They both are even made in China?

    • @DemosInTheDark
      @DemosInTheDark  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      it's mostly production based. the expensive models like this one are made in japan and are a bit more hands on. there are also upgrades in materials, pickups, and hardware. there's nothing wrong with the $500 models though. i've played a few that i thought were fantastic!

      @@DemosInTheDark i order the cheaper one from sweetwater, with their plek service….they’re amazing.

      I first bought a 5220 and then upgraded to this 6228. The 6228 is more light in weight and the PU have more clarity. Also there are lots of hardware and electronics improvements, like the TUSQ nut, Gotoh locking tuners, treble bleed, etc. And of course the craftmanship of a MIJ guitar.

    • @SimpleManGuitars1973
      @SimpleManGuitars1973 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@vicenteb531 Apparently Japan is making some high end affordable stuff these days. They actually made some Strats in the early 80's that are extremely desirable to this day.

    • @vicenteb531
      @vicenteb531 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@SimpleManGuitars1973 That´s it. Japan have a very focus-on-details culture. Imagine a guitar made with mindset. My 6228 is great.

    • @DemosInTheDark

      it really depends on what you're going for. G6228 has all the vintage vibe you could ever want while CR820 is more of a modern machine!
