I _loved_ the Bitterroot Valley when I wrote for the Missoulian in 1982 and 1983. I covered Lolo, Stevensville, Corvallis and Victor. _So_ beautiful. The best part of that beat was my weekly flyfishing column, Trouting About. _I got paid to go fishing!_
Montana is absolutely gorgeous and now if you want to live here you will have to pay for that beauty. The rising house prices are driving locals out which will change the culture of the land which will ultimately change the state.
I lived east of Corvallis on the foothills of the Sapphire range. It was just butiful there. I miss going up the west fork of the Bitterroot rvr. I always took an old frst servc rd just across from the trapper creek job corp. Go on up to the top and see mtn pks for miles.
Dwayne Wladyka, Hi, neighbor! I spent a great deal of time in Alberta when I lived in Montana. My favorite place in the whole world is Moraine Lake in Banff! You should come and see Montana, especially Glacier Park. Montana is very much like Alberta with the Rockies on the western side and the Great Plains covering most of the state to the east.
The narrator said starting to see subdivisions pop-up around the valley! My God, there are subdivisions everywhere. All the downtown's are crowded. All the restaurants need reservations now. It's hard to find parking at the trailheads on the weekend. I'm afraid to Bitterroot Valley is no longer the last best place!
The 2 year old video seems quite outdated in 2023? Homes for under $600 grand seem difficult to find, as does the water...... Our springs appear to dry up a few days earlier every year, as the yard lights and Lawns become apparent. Some places are asking over a million for a new place that overlooks a feedlot. That seems like a great selling point?
I really enjoy your videos of Montana in general and the Flathead Lake area in particular. I am curious about one thing, however. You and others produce videos of living conditions within various towns of western Montana, but I have never seen anyone produce one of Polson in the Flathead Indian Reservation. What is housing and living like in Polson, and are there special considerations one should be aware of if considering the purchase of a house/property on the reservation? Keep up the great work!
Love the Bitterroot Valley! Such a beautiful place.
I visit every year for 3 months at a time, past 11 years now stay in Stevi where everyone is so accomedating, Oldest son been here about 25 years now

How am I homesick for a place I’ve never lived? One day we will be there.💜
I grew up there. I hope to go back some day.
Just bought a house in Florence. Beautiful area, amazing views, wildlife and recreational opportunities. Most important, wonderful people.
