    I just found this!! Girl you are truly amazing! Newspapers?? You made lamps from newspaper!! Incredible. And don't say they aren't pretty, they are beautiful. Old finds, dumpster diving and hand me downs are always the best treasures. Annnnd you rescued that poor table from the river and now look at now that it's loved. ❤❤❤.

    I love your home. Beautiful and simple. Your Husband is well talented. I am Canadian and I would love to pay to be a lodger and have a vacation with you and your husband in the future. I was in Turkey, Uzumlu area from January to February 2020. I love your videos very informative. Simple living is so much better than city life. Thank you again.

    I love your house and all the furniture. It's so nice to save things thrown out , and to know their history. And your glass doors are a stunning feature. You made a marvelous restoration on the couch and armchairs... They're really beautiful... both sets of skilled hands you and Ken have.. and you created a gorgeous home.

      Yes.. TH-cam is great for that. On a minor scale I had to go away for over a week and at the time no one was free to feed my 5 cats, but TH-cam came to the rescue. I made giant feeders from a load of 5litre water bottles. They worked great. Found solutions for lots of things to make using up stuff otherwise thrown in the dump. It crazy the amount of best and oldest wood in old furniture etc not reused and converted into other uses.

    • @AtHomeInTurkey
      @AtHomeInTurkey  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I came here in 2003 left for four and a half years to look after my mam and came back. December is referring to the year we moved into the house. That must be (let's ask Ken) 2015.
      I bought the land in 2000 but there was a problem in this village so nobody build legally. And as a foreigner I have to go the legal way. I rented the other years.

    Frankly these types of videos are attracting too many arabs, arab nationals and islamists who want to move to Turkey. As a Turk I don’t like that these people are showing desire to move to a Turkey while we are already hosting and feeding 6 million Syrians.

    • @AtHomeInTurkey
      @AtHomeInTurkey  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      That's life, people move around. As a European I know how that works. There are 5 milion Turks in Europe too. And that's all fine with me.
      I don't think my videos will make that happen. I just don't have that big an audience. The videos your couverment puts out for tourism are way more exciting and inviting.

    • @discovergermany5431
      @discovergermany5431 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If you have a problem with syrians you have not to judge 450 millions of arabs..millions of arabs every year go turkey as tourists they don't stay..don't forget there are millions of Turkish in germany..as you see arabs by racist eye..germans see you by the same eye..
      Every year my family and i go turkey in july and August..we be back our jobs. Shame on you....all what we safe we spent in our visit..so do millions of arabs from gulf region and you know that..

    • @discovergermany5431

      More than that you don't feed any syrian..most they work in turkey and i challenge you if you show us that turkish gouverment pay any financial help for syrian refugees.
