I was there too! Someone dosed me by laying a line of liquid acid on the floor, and I was barefoot and got dosed... which I didn’t realize (even though the dude whispered to me that I’d just stepped in lsd) until the second half, when I made it to the floor and then to the very front, mere feet from the stage. Jerry was pretty close to the front of the stage so I was looking up and close enough to see little drops of spit flying out of his mouth when he sang... and each drop had a rainbow tail... that’s when the dudes words came back to me...
This was the first time I saw a lot of people being arrested after a show they watched the parking lot for 2 days from cameras on the light poles, I mean they arrested allot of people I knew just for smoking in public some went to jail for a long time for just a couple tabs, but it was one of the best shows the whole summer. The dead played very well that night , because it was literally illegal to dance on the floor I was in the second row and sitting in a folding chair, cops were wisking away people who would not stop dancing, it was unreal, oh and no smoking allowed so if you lit a joint you might get arrested , on the way out the beer booths had sights that flipped around to say BAIL BONDS I swear to God, great performance really good , but walked out to allot of dead heads in hand cuffs.
My 1st show! Wide-Eyed & 15yrs. old...Course I was hooked from the 1st notes! I'm forever grateful that i was lucky enough to catch em the few times i did. It seems like the biggest decline in energy was the next year. Here, the set list is great!! Really mixed up & fun! Thanks for posting the video...the sound is AWESOME! (That place was absolutely ROCKIN'! Bruce added so much...i wish he would've stayed!)
I was in high school, just before my 2nd year for this 1st of only 10 shows I was lucky enough 2 see...Dead shows. !& man, look @ the ticket price for this show compared to the cover bands of the pre-covid era.. $22.50 for this show! By FAR, THE BEST $22.50 I EVER SPENT!
@@phattskisgreat number! 108 is a very spiritual number. In several different traditions. My 108th GD show was 7/7/86 at RFK. The last show before Jerry went into his diabetic coma. My friend, his doctor, Dr. Randy Baker told me he could have easily died then. If he had died then I would have had to be satisfied with that very spiritual number of 108 shows. Thank the Universe that he survived and we were given The Blessed Nine Years as I call them. 9 more years of shows. 667 more GD shows. I like to remind people about this. Especially those who complain. About anything. 108 bro!! Right on. Blessings to you bro. 🙏🏻🩷🙏🏻

Great 1st set with one of the best Althea's I ever heard and up until this point liked Althea with Brent and this is probably the only one with out Brent I ever listen to.Both the shows were very good and I had high hopes for the band but it turned out '91 was the pinnacle of this lineup ..for me anyway . My last show was RFK 1992..The show wasn't that bad but all the bad vibes with gatecrashing types and I heard the ticketless numbered in Tens of Thousands , and it was crowded . Morning Dew ¡!!
I loved 1991. I attended every GD show. All 77 of them. And all 27 JGB shows too. And I loved the shows in 1992. I attended all 55. And those in 1993. (I missed 4)) And the 85 of 85 GD shows I attended in 1994. And the 44 of 47 shows I attended in 1995. And I’m still bummed I missed 3 shows in Jerry’s last year on Earth. ❤
This was my 438th Grateful Dead show. What an awesome Stranger to open!! ❤😎😱😎❤️
I was the only cat there in a suit & tie...in addition to other unique characteristics. I've got some great still photographs.
Beautiful 2day run, came down from Radford U

I was there! 15th Birthday.

Quirky set list. Some people don't like Quirky. I do.
Charlie, the lead guitar, well, it's way too low...................
You need a hearing aid.
althea :)
Excellent playing, crap setlist. Band didn't feeel like letting loose at all this evening. Not a single jam song
You're tone deaf
