- Very good L.A. run despite the last Dice race. After L.A. I lost a whole minute and 15 seconds in paris because it trolled me so bad. In tokyo it was kinda decent i guess? Except Savant Of Speed and Karma Rising. Enjoy :)

I literally played this game for years during my childhood and knew every inch of the maps and races and cars. And I never once knew you can literally slide the entire time to reach higher speeds 😂😂😂😂 wtf man thats crazy

Nah i remember learning this trick years ago in online mode on ps2. Literally everyone picked the veloci or that jet car and combined it with this trick. It was insane!
Iknow this when i played on 2007 to 2012 but have the Police cars , emu , batmobile schneller v8, lusso xt , and veloci have this , the outher cars i test but i cant do annything

This game has such a fire soundtrack. The music selection is just super unique. Especially in Tokyo. Can’t think of a modern game with these kind of music tbh.

My fishtailing is not great but i can hold 250 mph for some time(not in paris but still) but just how do you proceed from there?! Barely lose 80 miles throwing tail out for a 360, then accelerate for another 5 or so frames to add another 10 miles and then do another 360 but counter-clockwise, losing another 80 miles? Literally incomprehencable for me, honestly. Salute you, Finalaeon

When you play on keyboard, the handling is more sharp; you can turn at much harder angles for some reason.
@@Hyde233 because on controller, your joystick goes (f.e.) from the middle (lets say 0) to the far right (lets say 1) by going 0.1,0.2, etc. (maybe even more precise) in the time you turn but since you cant handle that smooth with a keyboard, there is only from 0 directly to 1, which makes it very direct but just gives this advantage. it is possible to fish tail on ps2 or controller in general but you probably can't and never get it as much on keyboard because of the handling in the game. In need for speed games, I think this is handled better but mc2 gets its own vibe through this :D I hope it was kinda understandable
@@xRaisn There's more to it than just that. Even when the joystick is moved all the way to the left/right, it still doesn't turn as sharply as it does on keyboard. Cars are just able to turn much harder on keyboard. Some cars, like the Cocotte and Citi, are impossible to fishtail on controller because the game just doesn't allow you to turn sharply enough with a controller.
@@Hyde233 probably due to "limitation" of the joysticks so the driving feels smoother for ps2/controller players. the fine tuning for the keyboard is just not optimal which somehow makes it better imo
@@xRaisn Nope, that's not it. In the settings for the PC version of MC2, you have you switch between a "keyboard" and "controller" mode when you want to switch between using a keyboard or controller. When in controller mode, it allows you to use both keyboard and controller at the same time, but if you try to use the keyboard while in controller mode, you just can't turn as sharply. The game purposefully limits how sharply you can turn when you're in controller mode.

Hey bud, Im the guy that set the record for any% for the original Mignight Club a few months ago. Just wanted to say that I've enjoyed watching this run and soon enough Ill be attempting it haha. I will say though this game is much harder to run than MC1, yet you make it look easy. Good stuff!
This is the first time I see a full playthrough of a speedrun, I’ve looked at a few others but I just lose interest cuz I’m like “oh he’s just jumping, rolling” or whatever, but this entire playthrough is so entertaining, so full of skill, I had to watch the whole thing, really well done!

I never knew Veloci's drift boost were applicable on every car! I wish I could play this game with this trick. Never been traumatized as a kid restarting hundred of times in a single race lol. Nice run!
This is amazing! I've played through this game a few times but I didn't know about the wiggle boost, let alone all the routes for the entire game! Makes me feel like I have to improve hahaha

I finally beat this game 😭 favorite game growin up i i used saikou xs for the last 3 savo races, better handling then the torque jx
Yep fastest car isn't always the best. In Midnight Club LA I would just use the corvette c6 to beat the game, had all the power you needed without being ridiculous like the higher end cars which I'd always end up crashing. Taught me a valuable lesson about cars which still holds true to this day.
I can agree with that. Was using the torque jx to beat Savo but keep failing miserably. Then decided to use the Knight just out of curiosity. Beat the game using that car.

@@antscorpio1030 Nah. The thing is, MC2 is a very complicated game with how it works. Basically: The more fps you have in this game, the faster your car gets damaged and breaks. The emu is one of the first cars you get in L.A. so when i play on 120 fps i can take 5-6 hits max till i break = major time loss. The first two races with blog are with very high traffic which makes fishtail a risky thing to do. The jersey is faster in those two races in particular.
@@finalaeon9 ahh I get it now. Rewatching the run and the beginning races of Paris does have high traffic. Not to mention it's narrow streets and alleyways.
So the PS2 version is definitely the hardest. There is so many times in the PC version that has way less traffic making the drifting much more achievable. Doing a run like this on PS2 is suicide, since the placement of cars always prevent you from doing the drifting method.
I have an absolutely ridiculous challenge for you: 100% complete without hitting pedestrians.
