Hi to Tom. Thumbs-up button has been properly smashed. This partner drill is awesome and greatly complements the preceding sumbrada session. Thanks guys, keep it up and happy Easter!🙏
Learning solo was most helpful. I always have hard time learning the patterns for thios because my mind cant process both parts all at the same time. It kind of learning partner dancing because you learn the pattern then do with a partner. In dance your usually doing the same thing at the same time but on different feet but with this your doing something different. It a learning style thing. I think it because of the speed it makes if different
This remind me of the time I realized I was getting somewhere with training 😃 Our instructor got us to partner up and have a pseudo-flow session. We just have to perform the drills he would shout out. First five attacks (ranging strikes from long range), then sumbrada (medio mano), dakup y puno (a close quarter sumbrada drill), finally Pasok Loob/Pasok Labas drill (Break-in/Break-out drill that develop entry and timing). Then change out the drill order. E.g. five attacks to dakup y puno, so we needed to figure out how to move from long range to close quarters. From 2 hours of training, only messed up my timing twice 🤣 Only then did I have that palpable sense of getting better 😍
The first time I did break and break out drill with a partner I was scared to death even though I knew the sequence of moves my partner was Really swinging those sticks at my head for real! L O L! If I lost a second of concentration and timing I would’ve been a hit. That’s the beauty of the FMAU get real good real fast learning under those conditions
paul...i saw a news a few hrs ago...about asian Americans are fighting back against racism...i was wondering if u can help other Asian-Americans community, specially the Filipinos to fight back....
Those are sad times. And very shameful. I come from a country that went down this path of racism and hatred once - which brought about nothing but shame and unspeakable sorrow... I actually hoped, that the world learned from our deterrend example. As it seems, people draw different conclusions... Try to stay positive. There's too much negativity out there...

Oh for gods Sake please answer ma question Can i use Double edged swords like the keris too? For example in your Drill Videos you go into chamber stance.... Would that stance be ok with a Double edged sword?
Double sticks are used because they are safer in training, but they're trained with the mindset that they are blades, machetes, swords etc. Yes you can use double blades in your chambered positions in sinawali but only in your advance stage of training, not in the begining because you can shave your elbows if you are clambering too high up,incorrectly. Hope this helps. Go slow with the blades or tape up the sharp edges. 🙏
Why punish us with midroll adds, I will never let one run if I can catch it, I doubt anyone else does either, put two adds up front and two at the end, I will let them run, I encourage others to do the same. Midroll adds drive viewers to add free subscriptions and add free browsers, which diverts away or eliminates the revenue stream for content providers / channel owners.
Thanks Paul for bringing partner drills, been asking this for ages
Search my videos. Got tons of partner drills before COVID19.
Seeing you do this reminded me I use to do a shorter version off this with my son.35 yes ago.
There are many versions of this conceptual drill. 👍🏻
