This is a great first video to watch prior to your training videos! I've been watching your training videos and they are fantastic. I can't wait to implement them in my dogs training when he arrives. I also appreciate you mentioning other content creators. I'll have to check out their channels for more advice. Keep up the amazing work.
How can I stop my corgi from wanting to eat everything on the ground? When we go out for walks he is always eating everything from sticks and bugs to a chicken bone which i had to take from him as he tried to swallow it before I could. Is there a way to train him not to eat anything unless its safe?
Hey there! Thanks for the question! In fact, I got 3 different question on the same topic today from various platforms so that will be the inspiration for me to create a video on this topic. You need to equip yourself with two commands to train your dog. A good leave it and drop. These two commands paired with your attentiveness to the environment is the key to success. Essentially you need to train a reflex response from your dog to immediately avoid going for an object or if it’s too late and already in their mouth to drop it. That initial reaction will give you the split second time to correct course and go in the opposite direction to avoid the obstacle. In the same way that we have a hard time avoiding temptation (ie. Kid in a candy store), there are ways to discipline ourselves. Of course no one is perfect and if the object on the ground is rewarding enough, we cannot expect dogs to have enough discipline to always make the right choice of leaving it especially if they are puppies. Impulse control on walks takes time and lots of training and consistency to develop and we always still need to be vigilant of the environment as the stimulant may be too much for your dog to leave alone. Hope this helps and stay tuned for a new video on this topic so I can be a bit more specific.

I was watching this outside laying down and my dog just kicked dirt in my face. In my eyes- ears- mouth..Took me by surprise...I'm watching a training video while my dog is plotting to bury me...😜

What size carrier crate did you start with? It looks like you had a smaller one and then sized up as he got older?
