There are a few possibilities, maybe you always dribbled past 7-8 players, pass it to player B, and he pass it to player C and score. So you never get any G/A, but your team win 5-0 every game because of you. Does it make you not a world class player? No. People who actually watch football will acknowledge that you are a world class player, despite that you are not getting good stats.
Do you think player B and C are world class because they have got amazing stats? No. They are so easy to be replaced in your team. Anyone can do their job.
A lot of kids today who know nothing about football. They judge players based on surface level stats without watching football matches. Having good/poor stats doesn’t mean you have/don’t have world class abilities.

Stats are things like progressive dribbles, completed and progressive passes, duals won etc. etc. Every single aspect of a players performance is recorded in stats, not just G/A. Dribbling past 7-8 players like you say, thats a stat! Pass it to players b who passes to c who scores, that is a stat! In America they call that a half assist. You are literally using stats as a metric to judge that imaginary player as world class.
You can clearly be a world class player without G/A but if you are world class you are still putting up world class stats in other areas. Makalele for example was world class but barely ever scored or assisted.
This also doesnt change that you can have world class technical ability but a paupers mentality and get nowhere, just like Ravel Morrison. Just because you have world class ability doesnt make you a world class footballer. It gives you the potential to be.
